I like this trade, mostly because I made a very similar trade during the trade deadline game... but I got Karl Alzner outta the deal

Caps should have gotten something to help them now... even with Doughty and Kipper, I dunno if they match up against the Big Bad Bruins.

The Minnesota Wild are a Goaltender factory. With Matt Hackett and the soon to be signed Darcy Kuemper, the Wild have enough pro Goaltenders to fill out their organization without the services of Josh Harding.

In light of his missed season, his trade value probably isn't where I'd like it to be, but:

Tampa Bay's 4th Round Draft Pick
Brendan Ranford

Josh Harding.

I think that's pretty good value for a goalie who looks to have busted. Even before his injury situation he wasn't posting strong numbers. Too bad, I remember a time when we were tripping over ourselves to deal for him.

Have come to a deal with The Wild.

Carolina

Tim Gleason + 73rd pick

for

17th +101st

although losing Gleason will hurt he became expendable with the earlier aquisitions of Daley and Fistric. We believe that there is still some minor tweaks to make on D but the major overhual is over.

I'm more or less done. Got one or two lines in the water, but nothing might come from them.

Where did Carolina get 73rd from? Where did Minny get 101st from?

Make sure you own picks before you trade them.

I figure a few things happened... Either Detroit losing altered the order somewhat, or NJ forfeitting their 3rd has come into play somewhere.

They're relatively close though. Heh

Welcome to the club. Unless I feel the need to trade up or down in the draft, my roster is set.

... I'm bored, lets start a new mock draft!

That would be 72nd and 100th, sorry.

He had 73 listed on his thing, and Wikipedia's 2011 NHL Draft entry had the Wild picking at 101.

EDIT: Actually, that might be a larger issue. Anyone going off Wiki will have their number bumped one back of the ones presented in the link. I'm not sure where it starts, but the first round is right.

Cool. I'm starting to go draft pick blind staring at this screen and building the other thread. If you guys don't mind editing your posts to reflect the appropriate #'s i would appreciate it.

The link I provided is regularly updated and is the gospel for the draft. No other list nor any change in standings, including tonight, will be honored. It will be much easier if we all work off the same page.

Montreal was awarded a compensation pick in the 2nd round 50th overall which they traded to NYI for Wisniewski. This bumped the order by 1 until #69 (LOL) which NJ forfeits in the Kovalchuk disaster.

And this is why ThePerfectStorm is my new best friend. I've been spammed with trade proposals all night. It would be impossible doing this thing alone.

Also one of the best shutdown defencemen in the game is available in Robyn Regehr. Cory Sarich and Anton Babchuk could be had for picks/prospects/forwards/young backup goaltenders.

I'm with you as well SK13... I'm not stoked on my defense, but need to keep in mind that free agency is around the corner! I'm probably done with my roster as well.

But that page is going to change very rapidly to reflect Detroit losing. Boston, Tampa, Vancouver, and San Jose will have the last 4 spots in the draft order.

The order should go...

EDM
COL
FLO
NYI
OTT
ATL
CLB
NJ* (bumped to 4th in 1st round)
TOR
MIN
STL
CAR
CGY
DAL
NYR
BUF
MON
CHI
LAK
PHX
NSH
ANA
DET
PIT
PHI
WSH
TBL
BOS
SJ
VAN

That should be the order if things are being based off of tonight and the standings from here on out.

Only 40 minutes until we find out who Nashville is selecting first overall! Anyone who is selecting in the top 5-10 should probably be paying attention just in case the game rolls around quickly.

We started trading BEFORE the standings changed tonight. I built the selection thread to reflect the standings when we started.

Oh crap... Should I stay up until my 11th pick? I wonder if everyone in the top 10 is online and ready to go...
