Barulin ?

Goalie on Russia's WC team. Notcied he's property of the Blues Org.

Any chance he plays or is he a KHLer for life? He has looked pretty good in this tournament.

I think he's one of the many European players who only want to come to NA to play for an NHL spot. If for some reason they can convince him he has a good shot at it this year, and they honestly believe he could out perform Bishop. They could just continue Bishops development as a starter in the AHL. If Barulin shows up and really proves himself, it gives Halak a fair amount of competition, and yet at the same time a better sense of security that he's not the only goalie we can depend on.

This is pretty much what Ive been reading but admittedly I dont know much about Barulin. I do know that Armstrong is in Slovakia right now and you can bet he is gonna try and get him to come over.
