I mean, I really, really liked Carter but Richards was our captain.
Even though I think that Voracek and Simmonds are really good players, and if Schenn and that pick works out that will be great... this is a tough night.
Not as tough as when we traded Gagné though, because that was just ********. This time we at least got returns that make it a little easier. The timing is strange though. One season we're in such a desperate win-now mode and then straight after that we're gutting our core. It will be interesting to find out all that's been going on behind closed doors.
I think this is an obvious one. I think the fans will miss Richards WAY more than Carter off the ice and I think Richards will be missed more on the ice, but not by as big a margin.
I think that you guys might be looking at this all wrong.
The Kings have been trying to move you guys out west for a few years now. Why not ovoid the rush and just join us today. You are all welcome to have us as your official second team because with Simmers and Schenn on the Fliers you know for a fact that us King fans are going to be watching you guys about as closely as possible.
Simmers is a such a great kid and going to be a solid 3rd liner with 2nd line potential for you guys and if Schenn shows up the way he has for us which I think he will then in a year or so you guys won't miss Richards.
Hey, it's not enough that he trolls everything Lombardi does on the Kings' board, he has to take a shot here as well.
You guys will like Simmonds, and I hope Schenn as well. However, between Simmonds and Clifford, the Kings definitely kept the one that is the bigger bad ass.
