Exactly. This game could be what could define us. I feel if Marleau can produce this game (assist(s)/goal(s) or even hit(s)) and we win, the confidence and momentum could help us win the Cup.

These lines are going to get .... interesting.

Ferriero will be on the Couture line for sure, not sure why Eager is mentioned in that tweet because there's no way he's gonna see top 6 time.

These lines are going to get .... interesting. If Eager and Ferriero are really moving up to the top 2 lines, I think we know who is going to the third line. I'm guessing...

Ferriero-Thornton-Setoguchi
Eager-Couture-Heatley
Marleau-Pavelski-Mitchell
Wellwood-Nichol-McGinn
I'd say your lines are probably bang-on if Ben and Benn are top 6 (I guess we need to know if Patty is wearing a white or black(?) practice jersey). However, in what world does Wellwood deserve a demotion? I guess things are pretty fluid when the game is being played, however.

I gotta believe in #31. He's shown he can shut the door and take a game, and we need one soon.

Well if Eager and Ferriero were REALLY top 2, I'd say that moving Wellwood to the 4th would make that line more dynamic especially with Scott Nichol at center.

But like Naki said, I doubt they put both of those guys on the top 2. Seeing as Clowe probably won't play game 6, and line changes will be needed, it might be the right time to shuffle Marleau somewhere else and put somebody up with Thornton.

I personally thought a couple games ago, we needed to switch Wellwood and Marleau. As much as it's a production thing with Marleau, it's been even more a defensive failure on his part that has sunk that line vs. Datsyuk's. Putting Welly up on that line makes that line even more defensively responsible, and Wellwood has a nice shot when he's not trying to be playmaker for Pavs so much. How he handles the extra minutes and could he handle that top line is yet to be seen. I never would have thought to be moving #12 because of defense though.... that's for sure.

Regardless of who's wearing a white practice jersey, there is ZERO chance that both Eager and Ferriero are in the top 6 tonight. Doesn't make an ounce of sense.

I would want to see Eager on the top line with Thornton and Setoguchi for game 6. He is a big body who can crash the net and crowd Howard. He can help work the boards and he has a nice hard shot that can create some rebounds.

they can rotate him and Marleau or whoever so that Eager is not over exposed.

So, a hardcore Red Wing fan buddy of mine just came up with tickets for the game tonight, so I'm going to be there in person. Try not to lose 6-0, guys.

Saw on ESPN that Mike Modano will be in for Franzen who's out with a bum ankle.

Well now there's even more adversity to deal with.

Let's see if this team has a backbone.

Thornton and Marleau have to come up big tonight.

I really hope this is the last game of the series.

I have a good feeling about this one, unlike the last 5 games in the series.

Great GDT!

Alright boys this is going to be my first live Sharks playoff game ever - I will be the turning point for us, just wait and see. The hot streak to the cup starts now.

SNOG:
3 - 2™ Sharks
Marleaux3, Datsyuk, Lidstrom

Thornton has a Thornton-hattrick of three primary assists.

Traditional good luck "Sharks can clinch" music:

I gotta feeling that tonight is gonna be a good night... for the Sharks

The greatest act can be one little victory... for the Sharks tonight

The Red Wings are just waiting for the hammer to fall

Next stop: Vancouver

Maybe TMac is planning on having them take turns on the 2nd and 4th lines until he sees some chemistry arise.

McLellan confirms upper body injury for Clowe. Puts a little more 'pressure' on other players. #sjsharks #redwings

Coach McLellan said Clowe's injury has nothing to do with Kronwall hit, that he'll be able to play moving forward. #sjsharks #redwings

McLellan said Clowe's ailments are from something that happened during the game, not afterward. #sjsharks #redwings
Ugh, this is why you finish it in four or five when you can. Stupid Sharks.

I'm not really sure why but I do too. Even with Clowe out I have a lot of faith that we're going to get it done tonight. I think Detroit used up all of their good will in the last game, as it seemed like every big mistake we made ended up in the back of the net. We've basically had two bad periods this entire series and they've cost us two games. That trend won't continue.
