Have a feeling I won't finish this game for a long time. Going for suit only and silent assassin, takes time to do it right. It's fun but also a game I can play sparingly and it won't lose appeal.

If you're playing on hard or higher have fun. It's not easy at all. There are some missions that you may be able to pull off, but with others you may spend hours and not get anywhere. I'm too impatient for that.

Yeah it's not easy at all but that's ok, I'm not in a huge rush to blow through the game.

I am loving this game despite being horrible. I am still only in 'Shangri-la' and having some real trouble...keep getting spotted.

My technique is usually: stealth for 5 minutes, get nowhere, get spotted, shoot everything, get killed...repeat

For most of the 2nd half of the game this was practically my strategy, although I didn't die that much . There were still some missions that I was able to stealth through, but it wasn't that easy.

I can't decide to pick this up or not...

+ Plain to see the game looks great
- Heard the story is whack, and full of cut scenes (which I'm not opposed to)
- I saw a clip of police firing wildly into a crowd of people chipping away at health, looked so frustrating

Should I just hold my horses and grab ACIII for 49.99?

It's a good game, but I would wait until the Steam winter sale. You'll probably find it for a decent price. The police shooting into the crowd of people is ridiculous. Of course the people don't get mowed down, but you get hurt. The police missions can be frustrating.

The cut scenes are only in between missions and the story is alright. It's your basic girl gets kidnapped and 47 has to rescue her while assassinating all of the bad guys in the process. Obviously there's a little more to it than that, but that's the gist of it.

What a cluster-f of a game, I played the first four Hitman's and they along with the Half-Life/Portal series are my favourite games of all time, this game is too damn linear and has ZERO replay value what so ever. What a stupid ending too, only alludes to a new crappy game that they plan on releasing next year from what I've read.

Why did they kill the Hitman series?

The ending was as predictable as a Michael Bay movie.

The game is good. There are some missions that are pretty annoying, but overall it keeps you entertained and is challenging if you try to go for Silent Assassin in every mission. The story is kind of blah though. I surely wouldn't pay full price for it (I paid $30). However, when it goes down to $15 or so, I'd say it's worth it.

I pay for every game, but I tend to get disappointed that I pay too much for games. If you wait six months or so any game will drop down to the $15 to $20 range or even less. It's really not worth it to by full price games anymore. I can understand MP games where you have a lot of friends who play it and such. Otherwise, especially for single player games, unless you have been looking forward to the game forever there is no reason to spend anywhere more than $20 on a game.

Well it looks like I may have hit a stroke of luck...

A used game store downtown has Hitman 2 Silent Assassin, Hitman: Contracts, and Hitman: Blood Money all for the PS2 for dirt cheap. Considering I still regret selling my copy of Hitman 2 Silent Assassin back when I sold my PS2 a few years ago, I'm seriously thinking of grabbing these since my fiancee still has a PS2.

Especially since who knows when or if that Hitman HD collection of Hitman 2 Silent Assassin, Contracts, and Blood Money will ever be released for the PS3. Hell, who knows if that collection even truly exists???

I was at Gamestop the other day, felt weird actually going in there again since I stopped playing console games years ago, and saw the game was already $40 new. Looks like it's not selling very well.

Most games that aren't "hype" games probably don't sell too great. If you don't have the Skyrim or COD type hype then the prices tend to come down fairly quickly. There are a lot of good games that don't sell too well.

Eh, Hitman is big enough of a name that it shouldn't fall 33% within 3 weeks of release. It seems to not be very well received whether it's about how linear it is, the disguise system, the checkpoints, etc. I can understand why it's not selling well. Hell, look at the last page of this topic, people aren't glad they bought it. I ended up trading a bunch of TF2 items to get it free and I'm a little disappointed that I wasted a free game on Hitman Absolution when I could have gotten something else for free. It was pretty good, but there's too many pretty good games out there that it certainly doesn't justify paying that much for it.

You're probably better off returning it. There are plenty of better options out there.

Play.com already has it 27.49 euros (Xbox) but I'm still not going to buy. Saw Skyrim at 25 eur and released the trigger.
