So sad. I'll probably never get a Kings jersey without purple. Currently the two I have are our home from last year and the purple and yellow vintage ones we wore this season (equipped with fight straps and Doughty on it). Not excited for new jerseys
I really hope they don't try to bleed the color out of the logos. Black and white's boring. Sides, if you're looking for more fans... Justin Bieber's favorite color is purple...

I sure remember a LOT of love for the 'black' jerseys when they came out. In fact, I believe they were flying off the shelves. That is most likely the marketing research they used to determine the switch...not Rich's blog (sorry Rich, you're not that important).

It's because were the only nhl team that has purple on their jerseys. Purple symbolizes Royalty while Black is just plain boring.

I've grown to accept it now, and I support the team no matter what they're wearing, but I can't imagine us lifting the cup wearing that logo. Funny thing is, I bought a home plate jersey for the playoffs last year, so I guess I'm part of the problem.

If the new white jersey is halfway decent I'll probably buy it. Therein lies the problem with the Kings and their jersey choices-as long as it doesn't really suck I might buy one instead of expecting to be wowed.
Interesting tidbit. I spoke with Jim Fox last weekend and he said their survey indicates that the younger demographic now prefers the purple throwbacks.
Can't help but think this whole black and white BS is being driven by Luc.
Do remember than DL is partially colorblind...Honest!

I'm a huge fan of the throwback yellow/purple jerseys. I'd love to see those AT LEAST a third, and ideally figure out a way to make them home/away. They were classy!
Plus, J Quick would always wear the waffle blocker

Boston, Pittsburgh...just to name two teams that were wearing black long before the Kings. I don't get the affinity for black uniforms by so many teams. They are about as bland and generic as you can get.

eBay. Funny story. On the cheap jerseys thread in the main NHL talk forum, someone linked to the exact jersey I bought saying that the crap jerseys like mine were all horrible and would always fall apart and not worth buying and when I got mine, it was an authentic RBK jersey with tags and all hand sewn, thick numbers and emblems as well as the fight straps. Apparently the person I bought it from has a way of getting the jerseys blank and then he/she/it orders the logos too and sews everything on. I highly recommend them. Problem is my dad bought it so I'll have to find out who the seller was. I think they said they can make any jersey in any size.
If anyones interested, PM me letting me know and I'll ask my dad what the users name was and get it for everyone.
