For any basketball fans who may have missed this. Shaq O'Neal was traded to Miami.

Seems like a lot IMO to give up for 1 player, although it is Shaq.

We'll see.

Shaq'll probably average 35 points and 15 rebounds and the Heat will have a hard time being a .500 team.

If Kobe is found not guilty and re-signs with the Lakers, I think Shaq might score 101 points against the Lakers this year just for spite.

You do know that "dumbest" isn't a real word, right?

Theoretically Hockey should have the dumbest athletes considering a lot of them don't go to school, and end up playing in jr's. Same with Baseball, Baseketball and Football at least you have to go to college...

The nature of the game doesn´t allow players who doesn´t have their head on straigth to get very far. Of course there are examptions but generally the best players who has the most success are the "smartest"...

Not in the US at least. In Canada they might go to Jrs instead of school, but in the US, the main road into Pro Hockey goes thru Yale, Mich., BU, etc.

Then again, i wouldn't be surprised if a 14 yr-old Canadian had a better education than an 18-yr old American.

dictionary.com has it listed.

Even if its not a 'real word' (what does that even mean? that would imply a word can be 'fake'?), it is part of the international vernacular, so i dont see a problem with it.

If im guilty of anything, its not using the word in its primary usage.

The sentence was fine, Skroob. "Dumbest" is very much alive and well. I don't know why this guy chose to single you out. I mean, it's not like the sentence read: "The NBA is run by the most dumberest athletes". Maybe he just holds the NBA very near and dear.

The Heat will have a hard time being a .500 team? Are you kidding me?

Shaq is in a division where there are no decent centers, nevermind good. He will do whatever he wants.

On top of that, they still have Dwayne Wade and Eddie Jones at the perimeter. And they are looking to add D-Fish.

And name me one guy in the Eastern Conference that can stop Shaq, besides Ben Wallace? There isnt any.

Miami wil win 50-55 games and go to the Conference Finals and lose to the Pistons.

The Lakers resigned Kobe to be the owner and general manager besides player. I hate this guy and I am a Lakers fan.

Lakers will struggle to get around 45 wins.

We shall see. You might be right. I may have over-rated the dregs (with the exception of Kobe) that surrounded Shaq in LA. Should be interesting to those of us who don't hate basketball.

Shaq is a great, great player. Very intelligent player, too. In my mind, he's under-rated.

Not even Big Ben can stop Shaq. There is no reason to think that the Heat will not be the top contender in the East IMO.

a lot ? it is not a lot for what shaq will bring to the Heat ... It is a good deal for both team because of their situation.

Heat still have Eddie Jones wqho can do an ok job.

It is not that much when you see what players the Heat still have.

Good deal for both team
