Tmac was a genius, he knew they were going to lay an egg in game 6 and held out the one guy who would have tried to throw the team on his back and probably hurt himself doing it. Now that guy is gonna be rested and will do it at home in game 7.
I thought it was a good effort from a bunch of guys that clearly didn't have their skating legs in this game for whatever reason. You knew the Wings were close after game 3 when they were competing, skating hard, and very close. The Sharks aren't in that same position. Their losses aren't on bad bounces or losing 50-50 battles. Their losses are coming from being outplayed completely. They're not even in the position to get into a 50-50 battle most of the time.
This team doesn't have the look of winning a game 7. They're not close enough to Detroit in playing level to win. Detroit is going to complete this comeback as they are clearly the better team at this point.
I hate to say this, but i think you're right about the rw winning game 7...i wouldnt completely agree with your first assessment. 4 games in this series were evenly matched. game 6 was all detroit and game 5 was all sj. You could consider detroit lucky to win game 5, as i would attribute it to a total SJ collapse rather than a spirited comeback.
anyway, the bottom line is that its 3-3..i just have a terrible feeling that the sharks looked really nervous and clueless in game 6....how much worse is it going to be in game 7? i just hope the sharks play better in game 7. because i honestly believe they are the better team.
This team has choked worse that Phoebe Price after being teased on-line and they expect a rocking tank in game 7? I need to stack the same combo Ledger threw down to make it through this *****, I'm a 15minute cab ride from Soho people, somebody get me some Oxycodone and Ambien and call Ashley Olson cause I'm done with this sheeet yo.
Thanks for the laugh man, I really needed it right now.
cleary's postgame interview also mentions that a lot of the detroit gameplan is based on niemi kicking out rebounds to scoring spots
I imagined as much. He's been doing it all year, it's how I would gameplan it. Makes sense as to how often the Wings have a guy in the right place to pop it in the empty net. Too bad Todd can't gameplan to put a Sharks player in that same place.

Ugh, why would you want to go to it? No way could I bring myself to watch them choke it in person. I will likely watch the game curled up in the fetal position on my couch, hoping no one sees me crying.
Im really on the fence with Niemi. He is making some great saves. But he's also letting out a lot of rebounds. And he's swimming in the crease a lot.
Niemi was spectacular tonight! What looks like swimming to you is a goaltender battling to keep the puck out of the net - which he did, a lot!
If just 3 or 4 of the skaters showed up to play it could've been a different game. The Sharks were gifted a goal in the 3rd period and instead of turning it on, they sat back and let the Wings continue their assault.
I'm not giving up yet but I really, really have to question why McLellan decided to mess with all 4 lines instead of just insterting someone into Clowe's spot to see if the line would click. Pavs/Wellwood/Mitchell should have been left alone, period!
It's a bad game for the skaters when Eager, Nichol and McGinn are you best players with less than 5 minutes of ice time!
It's finally win or go home for the Sharks, we'll find out if they're ready to man up or crawl into a hole.
What can the fans do anymore? people spend countless ours on GDT's, gifs, images, and photoshop they never seem to be rewarded for there work, this is fing depressing! Every fing year the same fing story, somebody save me before I go into mega rage mode!
