Antti Niemi. And probably the rest of the team aside from Marleau will show up.

Nope that was last game and he blew it; I don't expect him to be any better in Game 7. The Great American Hero Joe Pavelski (I smell a Photoshop) will lead us to glory. Both goals in a 2-1 win.

I'm no Marleau fan boy, but I hope its him.

He's takin so much crap (deservedly so) but it would be awesome for him to score the game winner.

A Lidstrom own net goal in OT boyle style would complete my life, but since that's not possible in this universe I'll go with a Vlasic wrister from top of the circle that takes a crazy bounce off someone.

Niemi.

For the Sharks to win, Niemi must bring his A+ game.

If there is a hero, it will be The Goooooch. If there is a goat, it will be Marleau.

Marleau played well enough but is he really the hero? I think Clowie might have been the winning factor tonight ... he brought the pain and that kept detroit reeling and running around all game

I love the fact that the game 7 was won exactly why the Sharks should've won the series. They're just deeper. Yes, Datsyuk is the best player on the ice, but he couldn't be out there all the time. The Couture and Pavs lines just wore'em down, and Nichol was pretty sick.

I've been hard on Wallin, but this was his best game as a Shark. He looked like an NHL playoff defenseman.

That would be a sick nickname if he didn't already have one. He really is the great American hockey hero.

Yes I saw that too. I still don't think he played like the dominator he can be, he faded in the 2nd and I was really afraid he was out of gas/guts. But he did bring it in the 3rd and I guess it's hard to discount the fact that he got the GWG. The final few defensive plays were clutch too.

But man, I dunno if it was just because they came home or what, but the team with Clowe in is like night and day.

Marleau played his first good game and scored the goal that ended up being the game winner. I would go as far as calling him the game 7 hero. JR's just trying to make things right in "his" universe.

Oh man, so happy to be on the short list here, of people either predicting or hoping that it would be Marleau:

goflyakite
wtfisthis
Grypho
magic school bus
rideaucrusher21

Marleau was uncharacteristically emotionally high after that came. I think he got a taste of his old self. Just watch how that translates to Game 1.
