He was walking north on Yonge st at Yonge and Eglinton center with two young kids. Just said Hey Brian, good luck this season.

Pretty chill guy.

Why didn't you tell him all the amazing advice you've been given here on HF. All the things he should have done?

Jeez. Wasted opportunity much?

Burke was at my school last week giving a speech on gay people (about his son, etc).

For fun, my friend asked him if leafs will win the cup next year.

Burke just looked at him, smiled, looked away and shook his head.

I met Brian Burke at a Niagara IceDogs game when he was GM of Anaheim. My buddy told him to come be GM of the Leafs and he looked at him, scowled and said "I have a team!". Then my buddy instinctively said "and you are doing a great job", while ******** his pants.

I saw Nicklas Bäckström at a nightclub in Stockholm last night.
He looked chubby.

Was it like one of those encounters where it was so awkward, you couldn't carry out a conversation?

Of course I'd hate for that to happen to me, I'd love to talk to Burke about some hockey.

Burke claims to take the subway to work once a week. I'm assuming it's really early in the morning when there's not as many people, but I think that's pretty cool of him anyway.

I saw Burke at one of the rookie tournament games last season. One things for sure, he has even less hair then it looks like on tv.

Your friend needs to be a little bit more respectful.

Yeah, he must be quite a dick to say something like that to someone opening his heart out to a topic that needs to be open in the NHL.

I've met Burke before and talked to him. He answered many a question in the span of 10 seconds. "Chris Pronger has tiny feet". It explains so much.

well it wasnt during Burke's speech... After his presentation, Burke hung outside the gymnasium for a bit and my friend asked it like a joke. Burke didnt mind (you can usually see it in his face if he gets angry), just thought my friend was a smart*ss.

July 1st I cannot wait until the draft. Hopefully there is some wheeling and dealing done.

Once asked him what flavour Skoal he chewed during the game.

Said peach or apple.

Really pegged him as a straight flavour guy

He was wearing a Leafs jersey with 'Richards' and '91' on the back. Confirm or deny.

That'd be circumvention of the CBA. He was just wearing '91' Leafs jersey. Keep guessing Stamkos or Richards.
