With the impending 2011 draft and as posters have begun discussing the upcoming season advising of player movements, I have set up a new thread for the upcoming season.
For some continuity, I have copied the posting of Johnny 2K8's dated May 10/11 & Ottawa Guy's posting of May 11/11.
"Here's what I know:
Adam Dewan will not be the Stallion's head coach next season. He quit last week.
Billy Ulrick has been traded to the Kemptville 73's for Thomas Lafontaine, Morgan
Hudson, and a 10th round pick in 2012.
Jordan Giguere has been traded by Kemptville to Gloucester for Mason Nowak.
Brendan Lesway will sign with Kitchener during the weekend. However, his rights have been traded to Nepean for a 2nd round pick"
"I think it is probably fair to assume that both the Ulrick and Nowak trades are just finalizing the Curley & Rowbotham trades which both had "futures" attached. Probably agreed upon at trade deadline but Gloucester and Cornwall wanted the two players in their line-up for the rest of the season. If I remember correctly Giguere's rights were sent to Kemptville as part of the Curley trade, 73's just holding on to his rights for Rangers until Nowak's rights were transferred.
Apparently both Borkowski and Jenkins rights revert back to their former teams, they were basically rental players."
As noted on the Around the Rink, (Twitter feed) CCHL_Tier1 CHL Tier 1
Also of note... @CumberlandGrads have added @MikeBorkowski92 back to their 25 player list.

Now, I'm not a Twitter user but, this appears to be a posting emanating from the local league but this information is not posted on the website. Can anyone clarify any misassumptions on my behalf? Thanks.

You are right, it is coming from the league. Looks like they are updating twitter faster than the website. They also tweeted about the three Kemptville trades.
thanks for that link badger i did not know there was a list out there like that. I was hoping the colts would be able to hold on to him so he can play with the spinks
this is great news for Lesway signing with an elite club like Kitchener as an undrafted player. I would expect that Curtis Meighan will also be gone to Kitchener next year.adding to the other 94s that have already committed...
Steele
Pancel
Lloyd
Meighan?
Lesway?
Next on the list??
Leslie
Hedges
Walsh
Also, Bouwdens a (93) in Pembroke is also getting some OHL interest
I agree raven it does not help out kanata losing a good coach like him hopfully they can get someone in there that can get the owner to keep his nose out of the dressing room
I would expect to see them released in the next day or two. The league normally has a meeting during the Propect Camp where the draft/protects is one of the topics of conversation. Many, if not all, of the players already know if they have been protected.

I know last year the protects were contacted the night before the draft.
Hawkesbury acquired Brandon Petrie, Dean Shepherdson, Carl Faucher and a 1st round pick in the 2011 CCHL Draft from Ottawa in exchange for Deric Boudreau, a 2nd round pick in the 2011 CCHL draft and Ottawas 1st round pick in the 2012 CCHL Draft.

From what I was told this afternoon, Ottawa will only get a 1st round pick in 2012 if Boudreau does not play a game in the CCHL this season as he has a shot to make Belleville's lineup and play in the OHL. So basically, the deal is Petrie, Shepherdson, Faucher, 1st in 2011 in exchange for Boudreau, 2nd in 2011.

Both Brandon Lesway & Curtis Meighan were participating in the Kitchener Rangers rookie camp along with OWen Stewart from the Upper Canada Cyclones. http://www.rangersrush.com/Forum.html

Quality of Prospects Camp not very high this weekend, has fallen off from where it was several years ago, very few of the top minor midgets participated.
Discussion at the Sensplex was that Lesway did sign yesterday. Rumours that there will be a few more deals announced shortly, kept hearing Ottawa looking to make another deal or two.
I took in some of the Prospects weekend games...it was quite watered down and it didnt have the buzz that past years have had...I saw a few teams talking with a few imports but only a handful...
I also heard there are a few big deals in the making that should be announced today..Sens, CP and Gloucester might get aggressive prior to the draft...
Interested to see who changes homes in the next 48 hrs
