Supposedly boys boarded bus home in full uniforms and gear (skates off I presume). If so wonder if these follows guidelines that speak out outlines? Makes a point but really.......
Lots of head games go on. Speaking of recruiting...
I happened to have a meeting at the Kanata Rec Center last night and snuck in to see the first 30 minutes of the Stallions-Cumberland game. I realize it was no clash of the titans, but Cumberland was awful. Heartless. Getting beat to pucks all over and they lost pretty much every battle. They could not execute anything. They were without Lough - but he is only one guy. They had a call up replacing him. Small, good skater and puck mover. They should keep him.
That team has fallen a long ways in just a couple of years. The score was only 1-0 when I left near the end of the first, but it was not even close. Who is doing their recruiting... and they may want to go in a different direction as they say.
I am still liking Carleton Place. Very skilled, tough and intimidating.
Wonder if the hawks had a fun bus ride back home and if the odour on the bus was pleasant .
That is ridiculous to make the boys keep their equipment on for the entire bus ride home! I hope they were allowed to take their helmets off! That should really motivate them .....not!
Just heard that Stephen Hrehoriak is being shopped around because he can't get along with the coach. Not even sure if it's the kid that wants out or the coach who wants him out of Hawkesbury, but I know they do not get along, and that Hawkesbury is trying to move him. They're asking for a lot which makes sense. The kid is by far their top forward.
Two apologies wee issued on behalf of the organization and the team’s players. The following has been excerpted from the second statement, "The victims of the incident participated in the events that took place in the month of September on their own will and were not pressured in any way by any member of the team."
IMO, the apology is attempting to shift the blame onto the victims. One wonders if the statement is laying the groundwork for a defence in event of legal charges. http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/bre...133191113.html

just going by stats but why wouldn't you throw rodier(kan) or petrie(kan) into the mix for the yzerman div. Their putting up better numbers that boisvert, walsh, mcmurtury and cobbold. Even packard and hedges should be considered forwards based on play this year.
Congratulations to the Carleton Place Canadians and their staff. In only 2 years and 2 months they have reached the top position in the league. Not to forget a National Ranking that is sure to go up this week. Jason Clarke has done a tremendous job starting a team from nothing and building a Nationally ranked team. Maybe other teams can learn from his accomplishments.
Anyone know the score from last nights game between Pembroke and Kemptville?
3-1 Pembroke, goals from Gagne, Baird and Hart. Dupuis was in the nets for the kings. Unsure who scored for Kemptville as there was nothing on the cjhl website. Just heard when I was tweeting last night.
1/3 of the season played . any surprises or disapointments ?
Nepean by far , CP started strong last year and slowly progressed, not sure if will happen this year. The Kings havent found themselves yet, but lots of changes and injuries, that being said still missing some pieces. Cornwall seems the same as last year, still missing players that can play playoff style hockey. Brockville middle of the pack and Ottawa looks to be comming back to the lower tiers.

even the hawksbury has somewhat cooled off, id still think they are the biggest surprise! disappointed a bit with pembroke but they have a lot of injuries. not really surprised with nepean at all...you could tell from off season acquisitions they were going to be good
It was a really good game to watch as well. Ottawa gave Brockville a run in both games this weekend. Could have gone either way- both sides had awful reffing over the two nights..... just awful.
