I believe so. As everyone mentioned before biggest choke artists of their lives.

A friend of mine (LA King fan) posted Chokes etc. I said we've only been choking for 20 years, you've been doing it for 44 years so what's your excuse ehh?! (yes he's from canada).

Anyway his reponse is from his cousin who is a big Sharks fan. If they lose his cousin said he will burn his jersey and put it up on youtube.

How excellent.

And yes the hatred in Anaheim (since I live here) is more than Detroit but my one friend who is a Wings fan.... Ugh I won't be able to take her snarkyness if they win!

So come on Sharks Fight like you've never fought before!

No and Maybe.

If the Sharks win, it's just another game in the books and it wouldn't be the biggest game in Sharks history.

If the Sharks lose, then maybe, it would be the biggest. Simply because the choker label will be attached for years to come and it could mean a big shakeup in the organization with players, coaches, management, etc. I say could, because there's a good chance that nothing very little will change, after all the team is very good. It wins divisions, is in the playoffs every year and half the league would love to have the team the Sharks do.

If you had a no trade clause and management made it very clear that you were NOT WANTED here and were threatened to be buried on the 3rd-4th lines, and you also knew that fans wanted you gone as well, would you stick around if you had an option to be traded to a desirable team? I wouldn't want to stick around under those conditions.

Yes...so far. It'll be the biggest until game 7 against Vancouver this year, then game 7 against Tampa Bay, this year!

Yes. And it has nothing to do with the "choker" label or the fans.

This is the biggest game in Sharks history because this is the best Sharks team ever assembled (on paper). Now they have to go out and prove it on the ice in a game 7 against (arguably) the greatest franchise in hockey history.

It's kind of sad that another 2nd round game is possibly the biggest ever. I said let's wait to see what happens. If the Sharks win, and they manage to actually do something this year, then yeah, you can probably point to this. If they lose, well, it's another 2nd round loss, I can't say this will be bigger or smaller than all the others, except it's another layer of depression...

yes, quite frankly I think if the Sharks win this game we go on to win it all.

I voted yes. It's only a second round game, and this game won't get rid of the choker label, but they have to win tonight to prevent the biggest choke of them all.

another 2nd round loss?? a loss here puts us in the HISTORY BOOKS. we will NEVER escape our choking reputation, and it will be 100% deserved if we blow this. That sad sack list of "det, pitts, boston, and ny" will now be joined with san jose! det blew it in 1942 almost 70 years ago and that team is still laughed at as a paragon of failure. if we win and then go out in the 3rd, then no one will remember that the 2000 era sharks couldn't win it. but if we blow it tonight, sporting fans in the year 2100 will recall how 'only 5 teams ever choked so hard as to blow a 3-0 lead, the latest being the san jose chokes, who sealed their forever reputation as chokers in 2011.'

After having obtained a 3-0 series lead to eventually have the Red Wings tie it up, I truly believe that this is the turning point of the franchise.

If the Sharks win; they defeat a resurgent powerhouse, dis-spell ALL choker myths, and even if the Sharks do not go the entire distance; there is still hope in future campaigns.

If the Sharks lose; this group will forever be scarred and labelled no matter where they end their careers, NHL history will be made as never have two teams overcame a 3-0 deficit in back to back seasons, and this collection of players will never see the Stanley Cup finals.

If they lose it proves a lot of our core needs to be in another franchise. Not because they suck, but maybe a change of scenery will do them better. I'd miss em but if it means they go on to win a cup elsewhere I'd be happy for them.

I'm willing to go either way on that. Yes, because of the obvious, the Sharks win the Stanley Cup and beat out all other 29 teams. Not so much because this Game 7, right here, tonight...is the prime example of 1) choking, or 2) overcoming adversity.

Especially with the way the Caps have fallen from their high horse, I think the choker of the league has transferred coasts.

Best of luck tonight, you guys. While--as an opponent--I have no preference to who the Canucks face, there's definitely a part of me that would love a West Coast matchup that would finally see one of these two teams(Vancouver and San Jose) get over the hump and make it to the big dance.

So best of luck to you!

Yes... it is by far the biggest game in our history... team on the verge of the biggest choke in our history as a team labeled as arguably the biggest chokers in the league...

also our core is fragile at best... *the big guys not the couture, pavs and demers*

yeah this game is big...
