Wonder how good Kesler will be next round. Took a pretty tough injury, he'll play through it but will he be at 100%?

I'm actually not that worried about kesler. This is why I think the break is gonna be huge for Vancouver.. a blessing in disguise.

After long breaks this year the canucks have always come out hard.

Didn't Henrik stay off the ice until the day before game one of round three? I'm not worried about Kesler.

It really looked like a cramp to me. You can see as the game went into overtime he was moving a lot better.

Botchford has stated that its a groin strain. But I'm hopeful he'll be ready to go in game 1. Like you said, as the game went along into OT he was skating better, hopefully indicating its nothing serious.

I caught a bit of hockey tonight right when they were talking about Ryan Kesler and how it would be huge if he couldn't play game 1

also acknowledged that he's not 100% (figured I mean it's round 4), but left wondering if they're talking about that groin injury

anyone know what they were talking about? did kesler look off in practice or something?

coaches will always keep MUM on injuries. *lower body, *upper body*, then once the scf is over, then we'll all know who played with injuries and whatnot.

We need Larscheid to see if Kesler's groin has ever felt better.

I have no doubt he'll play, but I'm worried he wont be 100% (or as best as you one can be 3 rounds deep into the playoffs)

Burrows said Kesler looked 100% in a clip on SportsCentre. Take it for what it's worth.

Malhotra - Game 1 (not playing)

any truth to Manny not being cleared to play for game 1, as a result of today's eye exam?

The latest Kesler report from Jason Botchford posted at the Vancouver province Live Chat:

kesler? I'll guess he's at 60%, kuzma guesses 70%
by Jason Botchford at 12:20 PM

kesler is hurt, he has a groin strain which is a partial tear. It will limit him. He bent over in pain yesterday after taking a shot. the 60% is just a guess

Per Ben Kuzma at The Province Live Chat:

Gillis: "Manny was told it's best to stay away today. He hasn't been cleared to play, just for contact. He's still day-to-day,"

My guess is he is about 65%. I mean, that's a completely more reasonable estimation than Kuzma or Botchford. I think if he has not significant setbacks today after that long practice he could be as high as 72% for game 1.

Hopefully the Twins don't have a dentist appointment late tomorrow, they may be late for game 1.

Eric Francis has stated that Kesler was embellishing the injury he supposedly suffered in game 5.

Perhaps, wouldn't put it past Gillis and Co. to do something like that. Sneaky ********!

If it was a goal pull/strain, Botch is right in that all Groin strains are tears (the most severe are full tears and in that case, Kes wouldn't be able to walk without crutches). I will leave it to the game to see how it all plays out. This weeks long worth of speculation on injuries and whatnot is enough to make one batty.

I heard broken ribs from a friend who knows the Hamhuis family. Just throwing it out there; obviously not confirmed.

AV had a couple of responses during the press conference: "Day to Day", "He's fine", "Mid-body injury". Take your pick

I'm not a religious man but as they say, there's no atheists in fox holes. When we were down to SJ with 30 secs left somehow I turned into a praying man (of course) and, lo and behold, a goal. I guess it's time to start praying again. Get well, Hamhuis!
