You do, but not first priority (just priority over the public).

The "rumor" is posted as a rumor today on NHL.com, which kinda leads me to believe it's going to happen.

While I'm happy we are getting the chance to take part in the WC, I honestly think I am more excited about the possibility of being on 24/7.

If we though Boudreau curses like crazy, I can't wait for them to show Torts after the Rangers forget to show up one game

I will go to it when it's in NY. No way in hell am I going to a game in Philly and dealing with their absurd and violent fans.

That's what I'm leaning towards. Considering you don't really go for the game itself...not sure I want to party with tens of thousands of drunk Flyers fans. lol

That is horrible thinking. You are letting Philly supporters win. Only Rangers fan lose with that mentality.

I've been to a LOT of Philly games before. I have never, ever had fun at them.

Maybe I don't get drunk enough to have fun at games in Philly. I really don't know.

But it sure is fun to go to Rangers-Flyers games here. One of the best games I've ever been to was a Rangers Flyers game at the Garden. 2004, I think. We lost, but Roenick gets hit with a Mironov slapper in the jaw, and Holik concusses Primeau on the subsequent shift. Drunken Rangers fans (myself included) serenade Flyers with unfriendly chants.

Probably a lot harder than it was for people who went to the Washington/Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh/Buffalo. Both of those games were in football stadiums which hold about 100,000. The games that were in a baseball stadium (including the next one) holds about 40,000. Probably about 15,000 tickets will go to Ranger STH's.

Its going to be a split crowd. There will be at least 10-15k Ranger fans there.

He said they were given access on a limited basis, and the NHL controls the rest of the tickets. Said they were expensive. Face for the upper corners at Heinz Field were $100+. I am hoping he was wrong.

If Rangers get the Winter Classic, dedicate the game to Boogaard!

The games at Ralph Wilson and Heinz weren't 100,000. Buffalo was around 80,000 and Pitt around 70,000 if I remember the parks correctly. CBP holds a little over 40,000 I believe. Ticket wise, Flyers STH's get first crack since it's technically a home game for them than Rangers and Phillies STH's get a shot I believe. Also gotta factor in that they make some tickets available to the public.

And God only knows what mucker* does with all that information people answer. I know he has his agenda for Boston but Jesus does he go hard.

Does anybody know when the tickets go on sale to the public and how much they might cost a non STH?

I'm almost positive home team STH's get the opportunity, and the road team STHs gets last dibs. If they're offered to me, I'm going..once in a lifetime experience.

What jersey should the Rangers wear in the Winter Classic?

every year teams wear a throwback jersey for the Winter Classic... since the Rangers are on the road it will probably be a white jersey.

Should be this, but I don't think they will be able to wear dark.

I think the jerseys should be nameless on the back and have the non-upright text (basically everything before 1949).

Or the Rangers could be really really ballsy and try to reintroduce the 'winnipeg jet' jersey from the Esposito era

edit: yep, those above this post^^^

I guess we will soon find out. If STH for the Rangers are offered, I will definitely go. If not, I will try to get tickets, but not going to be stupid about the price.

As for Mucker, doesn't bother me that he is asking the questions, I hope that is not why he was banned.

The first game they did that, as it was an experiment. However, this last one he said the NHL controlled all the tickets and treated it like the Super Bowl. There is a designated home team, but their STH's don't all get tickets. We shall see.
