He can't pull the NCAA card anymore.

Quebec has several holes to fill on offense. And Roy didn't make him change his mind about the NCAA to send him back in Midget AAA after.

Werthner is looking good. He said in the newspaper he'll stay more than 48 hours if Roy tells him he has a good chance to make the team.

No news about Peca

No. Peca confirmed he'll join Quinnipiac on Friday and now that is it decided, he won't go back on his decision.

I'm guessing that Kitchener wouldn't waive him.

And I still stand by that Dukey would be better off staying in LSL for another year. He probs get 30 points this year, depending on how hard he works.

Quote From Roy, (in Le Soleil) Werthner has about a 60% chance of making the Remparts

I think Werthner already has a spot in the lineup as the 6th d-man.

So Duclair is not physically strong enough...so you would have send Charles Hudon back in midget AAA last yr ? How many 16yo come in the league who are physically mature ? not many..

Duclair need to be challenge same with Drouin. One his making a great decision the other not so much (developpement wise)

We haven't seen much of him because he's injured. In the last intra-game he looked good though.

He won't play this weekend, maybe next Thursday or Friday.

Mike Matheson stayed in LSL and he's better then any D the Remparts have so what's your point ?

Does Duclair need the challenge ?
Yes probably, he will survive but I'd be shocked if he lit it up. 30G 20A and 100PIM, that's my prediction, he's tall enough to survive.

As for Drouin, oh boy, the kid is thin, and inconsistent. I'm not sure that going to Halifax is the smartest idea, IMO Drouin is better then Duclair but not as consistent.

The Lions are the 3rd best AAA team in Canada, so clearly they know what they're doing.

At this moment, Lefebvre is better than Matheson.

If you dominated in the previous league you played in, why go back there?

Going to Halifax is the best option, it doesn't mean it would be a complete mistake to go back to LSL though. And Matheson went back there because he had no other options. He probably would have played in a better league if he had had the option.

Send a message via MSN to Fel 96
Going to their pre-season game on Friday.

Hopefully I will be able to see most of their "true" players.

Great feed by Erne on Quebec's first goal scored by Werthner.

Duclair with three assists and Erne with a goal and an assist through two periods; pretty solid debut for the kids.
Looks like I'm going to have to try to go the pre-season game in Ottawa to see them in action.

How is McNamee looking?

McNamee is doing well. He is a bit soft though.

Erne is great. He looks like a 19 yo veteran out there.

1 I don't think so about Lefevbre being better then Matheson.

2 They dominated at TIMES. Especially during the playoffs lol.

3 Matheson had options, Shawi was one of them, as was Junior AAA in Vaudreuil which isn't far from Point-Claire.

4 I concede that they don't have anything to prove. But I'd like to see Drouin iron out his consistency issues, an Duclair his temper issues.

Lefebvre is definitely better. You're talking about one of the best d-man in the Q and a 19 yo veteran who just came back from Team Canada's camp...

Matheson couldn't play for Shawi if he wanted to keep his NCAA eligibility and 16 years old in the JAAA???

Your talking about Matheson one of the best draft prospects and a WJC U-18 gold, he has a good chance to be a first rounder this year.

A 16 year Junior AAA it's possible, you said he has no options. He also could have gone to prep school or Dubuque early.

IMO he would junior just not in Shawi or in BC ( he almost wound up there).

He most likely wanted to graduate at John Rennie ( One of the Schools most lions players go to) with his friends. And no offence but there's more to do on the West Island then there is in Shawinigan.

I really don't care about Shawi, Matheson, the West Island, etc... and BTW, 16 yo CAN'T play in JAAA.

All I'm saying is that at the moment, Lefebvre is better. Anyway, we won't agree on this, so we should just let it go.

Any word yet on the arrival of Grigorenko?
Would be awesome to have another great talent in the CHL?

Do you know if he will show? Same with Kamaev who was drafted by the Huskies?
Does anyone here know about Vlad Shalimov too...so little info on him, apart from that he bagged a hatrick last night for Val Dor.
Has anyone ever seen the elusive Vlad?
lol
