It's not as if this Sweden team doesn't want to win because they've had so much success already. I don't think a player on this team has won anything really significant internationally.

Pääjärvi and Tim Erixon won the Ivan Hlinka.
Petrasek and Wallin won the European Junior Icehockey Championships back in the day.

That's all I could find after a brief search.

This team is loaded with WJC silver medalists though, Mårts included. That doesn't feel like a very good thing although I might be over-analyzing here.

Berglund for sure. When he scored that GWG in the final vs Finland, I was sold. So yea, Berglund.

And for "true finns", they are not as bad as the Swedish media made them sound. That being said i still hate them.

This time if we get any of that boost from this game carried to the finals we are able to win the whole deal. Our track record on hockey finals is horrible to put it slightly. I have seen silver too many times already so gold is the only thing to satisfy me this time.

Only problem is that i don't think my heart can take that game.

Though got a love that the finals are between Fin-Swe. Could have not asked more.

Couldn't agree more. Wish we had him as the play-by-play guy in tournaments like this.

Yep seeing Numminen in that state felt really bad. I've always liked him and he seems like a really nice guy.

There is just too much SWE-FIN action nowadays...

First, the floorball WC: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPTQ7s4HKyQ (I was there)

Then this, and then we meet at the football Euro qualifiers in a less than month from now...(I will be there)

I'm not going to invest too much emotion in this one. We win, or we lose. Big deal

Ohh my lord, the finns in the final I just can't tell you guys how much I'm looking forward to sunday. I don't think many would have bet their money on this match up when the tournament started.

My prediction: 3-1 Sweden, last goal, an empty netter by... yeah Robert Nilsson, that guy really needs it.

Yeah, right...

Vehanen is actually the best goalie that plays in europe.

edit: He's better than most finnish NHL goalies like Niemi, Niittymäki, Rask for example
