I wish him the best...

I still think he has great potential, but he's lost all confidence in his game over the past few seasons.

Agreed. I do wish him the best and maybe a season or two out of the NHL spot light will allow him to regain his confidence in what is an immense amount of talent that he possesses.

All the best Fro! Thanks for all your efforts and bets of luck to you and your loved ones!

On the map, Omsk looks to be the KHL equivalent of Edmonton, geographically-speaking. That town is a loooooong way from anything.

Good luck, Fro!

Best of luck to Fro. Always one of my favorite players and seemed like a real nice guy the couple times I met him at Meet the Players/Tip-a-King...

Very sad Good luck to him, I wish him the very best. Hopefully things go well, he gets healthy, and can eye a return to the NHL and see if he can win a cup.

Wow, I can't say I didn't expect it, but talk about disappointing. People always point out the players that DL has let go and succeeded somewhere else. Why does no one mention the guys like Fro, who struggled here for the most part under several coaches and then sucked for the team he went to. Before his injuries, he was a disaster for NY. I know a lot of people don't like Poni, but when you look at the two side by side this past year, I think Poni had the better season (taking into account all of Poni and Fro's injuries).

I thought so too, at the very least you knew that Poni was going to be there to be solid defensively and give a 100% effort... The same just couldn't be said of Fro for long periods of time this year.

Holy Debbie Downer!! - give it a rest already!

Frolov averaged 25 goals a year over his last 6 seasons here - on some VERY bad teams (next to zero defense). He even got 30+ goals twice and lead the team in goals scored. That is "struggling" to you?

I wish some of DL's forwards would "disappoint" as much as Frolov did. He may be the best puck-possession Kings player - ever. He would just stick his big *** out there and move the puck along the boards and no one could knock him off of it.

There are very few ex-Kings players I wish well for after they leave town, but Fro is one exception. He deserved to play on better teams - but hey, at least he got to FINALLY play in a Kings playoff series, and he even scored a goal.

and I will miss his sweaters. Good Luck Frolov!

and Poni = Frolov??? ... or have you not see Poni play?

Good luck Fro!

He's going to always be a "what if" player but even during a down year he was a guy who made his line better. I think both Handzus and Simmonds had down years just because they didn't have the option to dump the puck to Fro and watch him hold it for eternity. He was their safety play. Only the Sedins' were better then Frolov at controlling the puck.

He was also the first Kings prospect in nearly a decade that mostly lived up to the hype. Really the first guy we could hype on HF and we weren't just pretending.

He probably has a better shot at winning a Stanley Cup with Avangard than he does with the Kings or Rangers.

And yet the Kings total will remain high for another year. Thanks Ryan Smyth!

Really couldn't care less. I never liked Fro and was glad he wasn't resigned. Good luck in Russia I guess.

How am I the Debbie Downer? I'm the one pointing out something good the Kings did, but letting Frolov go. As a few people agree, at least Poni hustled and didn't complain no matter what line he was put on. If memory serves me right, Frolov complained about ice time at the end of his time here and all his time in NY. Sorry if you're that big of a Fro fanboy that you only see the good Fro did here and not the bad.
