There goes any chance that Gomez would be moved or sent to the minors.
That chance never really existed. If it did, I'm confident that Gauthier is smart enough to realize that if he can find a taker for Gomez he wouldn't hesitate regardless of our injury situation. Eller could be out for a couple of months; Gomez will be an anchor for another three years.
As part of his rehab I suggest lots of beer and poutine, get some bulk on this kid, for some reason he always looked like nobody was feeding him. His shoulder was weak due to malnutrition. Seriously though, this really sucks big time.

Yeah, that's the worst part of this news. He won't be able to train this summer in order to bulk up like he'd need to.
i dont see how a shoulder operation stops you from building up your lower body strength.
Some of the best exercises for your legs require having weight on your shoulders, or a pulling down on the chair, even leg press he'll struggle with likely. I figure there probably gonna keep an eye on hi in MTL all summer long

He got injured because of malnutrition, and then you suggest he should get drink beer and eat poutine? Yea, I think you're on to something...

It's not 4-6 months of sitting at home and not doing anything. It's probably 2months off and then rehab. He'll have time to bulk up during his rehab.
It's like Markov and Gorges, they were said to be out for a year and 6months respectively, but they've been skating and working out for a couple of months now.
Also, bulking up properly takes a couple of years, not a few months.
