First of all this would be a fair offer and i always
like to discuss with the avs fans because of their hockey knowledge and
being aware of the other team needs.

But in this case the offer isn't really helping the Kings to improve.
It's not that Stasny isn't a great player it's the fact that we are already stacked at the center position.
Kopitar, Stastny, Schenn, Loktionov, Stoll and Lewis.
We could run 6 lines.

What we really need is a high scoring winger.
I would just accept the original proposal if the Avs take over Terry Murray

The only bad year Stastny has had was last year. His point total dropped but you also have to look at the team. What do you expect from him on one of the worst teams in the league?

Why wouldn't Stastny do well on a defense first team? He gets it done on both ends of the ice.

I really like Bernier and would love to have him on the Avs but we have enough defensemen who can't play defense. Johnson would help the PP and offense but defensively he is no better than Liles.

Why do the Kings want centers again? My last post explaining my confusion got deleted. I understand why the Avs want D men and a good net minder but why are we trading our assets for Stastny and Hishon? We already have a better Stastny with Kopitar. I dont see any sense in trading for another play making center when we have no one to finish these plays. Stooooooooooopid trade and the value is off. Stastny is not at his highest stock at the moment. He hasnt shown alot of heart in a team fishing for picks

I would definately do this deal for the AVS, this way we can draft Couturier, who is big and will add a good offensive and solid 2 way game, get our goalie of the future, and add a solid 23-25 min a game #2 D. Our center depth is very good right now and this lets us add more necessary pieces to the team to go forward. This gives us a lot of flexibility with the 11th overall pick as well. But I do have doubts if the Kings would actually make this deal!

You know Kurri, you accuse others of trolling, but this part of your act has gotten really old. Is Murray the perfect coach? No, but let's stick to the players in these theoretical deals.

Back to reality for a minute. The Kings are not going to trade Bernier or Quick until they figure out who the Kings #1 goalie for the Kings will be for the next 7 or 8 years. Both are signed for the next 2 or 3 seasons at very reasonable salaries, so unless someone makes them an offer that knocks Lombardi's socks off, the Kings won't be dealing a goalie this off season.
