Prepare for "Eager was over Eager" to be said ad nauseam by VS.

It was nice to not have to listen to Doc shouting like it's a religious mass meeting.

Even the Sharks fan who`s streaming has already had enough of the postgame with Hahn and switched to baseball.

Ben Eager is hilarious. I loved when he talked trash to luongo after he scored on him lol.

Yeah, I`ve also somehow liked when he punched Colby Armstrong in the face. Half-serious. He`s a tool and should be used like one/not used whatsoever.

The Sharks may be choking, but Bingo keeps winning.

If Eager was on my team, I would try to find Tonya Harding.

I think I've resigned myself to the fact that Vancouver is gonna win the whole thing. Now I'm just along for the ride.

Ben Eager's post game comments lol. He also said daniel sedin turned on purpose to get hit from behind lol and knew what he was doing
Q: What were your thoughts about Kevin Bieksa fighting Patrick Marleau?

A: We've seen that before with Kevin. It's sad that someone's gonna sign him for big money when he's a phony. He goes after our top players. He's been asked many times -- by lots of players throughout the League (to fight) -- and he's declined.

I agree the hit wasn't what it made it out to be, but that doesn't make it smart.

Did anyone ask him why he celebrated a goal and trash-talked the goalie when the goal made a 7-2 game a 7-3 game?

There's a picture of a Canuck's fan showing her own "Canucks" to Eager when he was in the penalty box.

Picture? There's video!

What was the point of that? Someone had a tad too much to drink. "Oh, I'll show him for doing that, I'll show him my ****!"

Good job by the CBC guys by not flipping their wigs. Color guy staggers on it but doesn't say anything. I could only imagine what would happen if Steve Levy was calling the game.

don't think it can be posted. just search youtube for Canuck Fan flashes Ben Eager. Youtube's pulling them down, so hurry, there's still 720p video up.

Eager needs a strong coach to keep him in line

Q kept him on track the 2 years he was Eager's coach. Since he left Hawks he seems to be a complete wreck and idiot more often then not

Eager has cemented my newfound Canucks loyalty. So he at least has done some good.

Eager's slashes on Lapierre are exactly why I would've given him a game misconduct after the goal. What did they think he was gonna do when he got out of the box, go to the bench?

Eager has to smarten up. He needs to keep abreast of the situation the ice so he doesn't put his team down at a bad time like last night.

I think this post from another board sums things up perfectly when discussing Eager. (and good for Joe)

Quote:
Eager's claim to fame?

Too unskilled and undisciplined for the 2002 Phoenix Coyotes to keep their own 1st round draft pick
Too reckless for Philadelphia when they were still trying to tame Steve Downie at his worst
Too dirty for Chicago when they were trying to tame Kyle Beach who is notorious for injuring his own teammates when he picks fights in practice

San Jose had him on a good tight leash during the season and he was on course to deserving a 3rd/4th line slot in the NHL with a few years of good behaviour, and then McLellan acted like he was an ECHL coach finishing the last game of the season on a "guaranteed fight night".

Good on Thornton for taking over the locker room to chew out Eager while McLellan was busy at the post-game press conference (a rumour by someone working out in the hallway.) There should be a lot of teams willing to embrace him if the Sharks don't create the right organizational atmosphere after the fallout from this year's playoffs
