I think Huberdeau's style of play would fit well in the SE division with Florida. Not that he wouldn't fit in elsewhere, but his skill-set would play very well in that division. I think if Florida does take a forward at 3, it would be Huberdeau. There are so many different possibilities even with us picking 4th, it makes your head spin.

I'm not sure if Florida, or anyone, should draft using that logic though. By the time Huberdeau is ready to bloom, the division could have a whole new identity.

Lol what logic is that?

Don't take a gritty player with good hands and great playoff presence? It would fit with florida and their annual lottery presence I presume.

Larsson. I don't particularly understand the RNH hype. He's good but I'm not even sure he's the best forward in the draft.

Its not a slam dunk for Larsson but I'd pick him if we had the#1 overall pick. RNH would look sweet with Kovy but im just sold on Larsson and him being that stud, big body,2 way defender who can play in all situations.

I would take RNH but I guess that's just me. So you guys don't think we'll get larsson then I assume?

I don't think we will, no. I'd be quite surprised if the Avalanche don't take him at 2.

If Larsson is off the board, however, Landeskog is there at 4, what do you think Lou & Conte do, run to the podium or do they possibly trade down?

It really depends what their list looks like. There are so many possibilities. There may be someone higher on their list that they might just take too and don't want to risk him being taken.

I think we are all starting to over think this and it is making us crazy

I saw this done a while ago so I thought I would do one since I didn't do one. Here's my happiness ratings for the draft.

Larsson- 10
RNH - 10
Murphy (+) - 9.5
Huberdeau (+) - 9.5
Murphy - 9
Huberdeau - 9
Couturier (+) - 9
Landeskog - 8.5
Couturier - 8.5
Hamilton (+) - 8
Strome (+) - 8
Hamilton - 7.5
Strome - 7.5

Hypothetically, let's see it went RNH/Larsson/Huberdeau. I'd see what I could extract from Ottawa since it seemed like they'd love to have Landeskog as the heir to Alfredsson. Dropping down to #6, you'd still have either Couturier or Murphy.

From Ottawa's perspective, they'd be deciding how much it's worth having Landeskog as opposed to staying put for Ryan Strome or Mika Zibanejad.

And naturally it would depend on where we have Landeskog on our list. If we have him say #3 or #4 and Ottawa isn't offering up anything worthwhile, take Landeskog, and tell Josefson/Tedenby to look for a 3 BR apartment.

What kind of deal would be of interest?

#4 for #6 and #35?
#4 for #6 and a 2nd rounder in 2012?
#4 for #6, #48, #65?
#4 for #6, two turntables, and a microphone?

If they are really high on Landeskog, #6, #35 & '12 2nd. Maybe #48 instead of #35. Adding #35 does seem like a lot for a re-building team.

Schenn(#5) cost #7, #68 & '09 2nd.

Only 38 more days! I really wish the Wild/NHL would release more info about tickets for the draft. Found a relatively cheap flight out there, but I'd like to make sure I actually have a ticket for the proceedings first.

Then again, I could just take the day off, use the flight/hotel money on a wheelbarrow full of tacos, and enjoy the Draft from home.

Well we started at 70 or so so I'll take half.

Once the nucks win the cup there will be two weeks left to go!

38 days isn't too long, when you live your life a quarter mile at a time.

I suppose I'm used to this sort of down time by following the rebuilding Kings in recent years.

Any period of time is long when you think about the matter. But you`re right, better than 70.
