I never see a team as a team. I see them as individuals first. If I've got 24 guys, Ive got to find 24 different ways to coach.
On where he gets his confidence:

On whether or not coaching in the minors is different than the NHL:

In the end it's all about recognition for what they do, and feeling that they do something important. If they feel great about what they do they're going to do great things.
There it is. I tried to get the gif from another site, but HF wasn't letting me.
Watch the other coaches reactions. Raymond just sort of peels off, and LaCroix keeps on doing his thing. (or less likely, talking to the ref as well, but he seems to be focusing on the guys on the bench)

Boucher is my favourite coach in the league and I've only seen him in detail during the playoffs. It's refreshing to see a new-age coach who is clearly doing his thing in a methodical, disciplined, and almost scientific way. Everything is calculated but he doesn't forget the emotional part of it which makes it amazing to watch and possibly the best approach to coaching that I've seen. It speaks volumes when you are getting the most out of veterans and rookies; offensive and defensive players; forwards, defense and goalies; PP and PK; etc. Everything just clicks.
"We might as well stay home," coach Guy Boucher quipped. "It's going to cost us a lot less money. And we can go home and get some sleep and watch some movies."
This was after Boucher was told Tim Thomas guaranteed a win...

I dunno Raymond still looks like a guy who could rage here and there. Check out that scowl.

The best part of the gif is when Guy points up to the big screen for a split second. I can't stop watching it. Raymond's stare is epic as well.
