At least it's only 4 weeks instead of the usual 4 months.

I hope they re-sign him. If they can get him for 800-900k it's still a good value, a hard working bottom 6 guy that can chip in 10-15 goals and jump in on a 2nd line for a month or so in case of injuries. plus he is a positive influence on the young players on and off the ice, a guy that persevered through 6-7 years in the minors mostly and always seems to have a positive attitude.

Don't worry, there's NO reason to not bring him back. He's cheap, wants to be in Montreal, is proud of being a Habs, and he can play on any line. His injury will not slow him down either...

Last year I thought they wasted money on him. This year I say bring him back. He brings energy and sets a good example for younger players.

I kinda like Darche but he can be replaced by a younger player already in the organization. The one guy we should have kept was Dominic Moore. He is one of the most under valued players in the NHL. He has been great for Tampa, he was the same way for us, dont understand why he was'nt signed.

Darche is a beast. Great 4th line guy. Too bad we don't have a guy like TK as well, that's a guy I miss.

Halpern cost half the price and was more productive(better 5 on 5 points and +-, better faceoff %). We didn't miss Moore this year with the play of Halpern Desharnais and Eller.

I wouldn't mind both. Is that such a bad thing?

I think a 4th line rotation of:

Darche-White-TK
Pyatt

Would be a good thing. That's all.

I'd rather get a true enfotcer like Rupp Hordichuk Godard Winchester Asham Boulton or Konopka than another banger.

I don't mind Darche at all, this guy works hard every single shift, a true warrior and a great team player, never have enough of those players. I'd sign him for another year or 2

Depends, I'd rather a guy like Neil on 3rd line than a guy like moen tbh.

Did you happen to notice that Darche scored some goals at ES and on the PP? I'd like to see White ramp up his scoring.

I see this is an MAB situation of a year ago. an older UFA journeyman, who was / is useful but not essential to the team - and who is now injured. i think goat lets it play out and probably uses the injury as an excuse not to sign him. one thing is for certain, he ain't getting signed until he can prove he's sufficiently healed from the injury. will that be before July 1st? if so, maybe he gets signed, most likely goat uses that 500-700k somewhere else

7,300,000 / 500,000 = 14.6 Darches
