No performance bonuses? Wow.

So neither Kassian nor McNabb got performance bonuses. Regier must have learned some jedi-mind tricks recently.

Hopefully he can figure out how to use them on Foligno's agent.

Regier is the master of ELCs, somehow he kept Myers to $1.3m after his break-out season and somehow Ennis didn't get any performance bonuses either. Compare that to Florida signing McFarland to $825k after a disappointing season...

Capgeek now has the cap hit listed at $715k, third year NHL salary of $840k instead of $740k.

Yeah, TBN had the correct figure so Cap Geek fixed their numbers

One of the better defensive prospects in the system. It's a good thing. Hopefully Buffalo gets things fixed with the Rochester "of Buffalo" Amerks and I can see him along with Kassian sooner than later.

Anyone watching Kootenay-Owen Sound on NHLN right now? McNabb got beat pretty bad on a play that ended up going off the crossbar, but he's flattened some guys and his first pass has been nice. Manning the point on the PP too.

He's been great breaking up passes with his stick. His passes have been pretty accurate and his decision making when he has the puck impressive. On the negative side he didn't look good on two one-on-ones.

Eakin has been impressive, too.

I've been impressed at how smoothly his decision making offsets his relative lack of footspeed. If his skating improves in the offseason, watch out.

Him, Kassian and Foligno at Besa Tsintsadze's or even just Laura Stamm's intensives for the summer please.

McNabb really struggles with speed to the outside.

That's the book on him. Has been since the U-18's before his draft year.

He just got toasted on that turnover and short handed goal.

I'm surprised how bad he is 1 on 1. Granted its just one game.

and as I'm typing he just killed someone with an open ice hit.

McNabb just killed Hishon with a HUGE elbow to the head and Hishon is still down/bleeding

Should be a penalty on McNabb IMO

edit - McNabb gets tossed

McNabb didn't need to have his arm up there.

I thought Eakin sucked on the pass from McNabb -- one hand on the stick trying to handle it lead to the shorty.

And McNabb's night is done. Probably another game at least.

That looks like a probable suspension.

Hinson unfortunately put himself in that postion.

He was reaching forward and had his head around McNabb's waist. His elbow came up on the follow through.

But he will probably get suspended.

I thought that turnover was mostly on Eakin, wasn't the best of passes, but as the best forward of his team, he needs to be better aware where the forechecker is.

His elbow was out before the follow through, but Hishon's head was also really low.

Well there does seem to be a common denominator among recent Sabres prize prospects, doesn't there?

With Kassian, McNabb, Kaleta and Foligno possibly on the team in the next few years. It will be interesting to watch our more weak stomached fans fretting over their play.

Rename Hishon Matt Cooke or Chris Neil and I could look the other way.
