Yup. Best of luck. He's a great fit for the rebuilding Rangers.

Too bad that we lost him, he'll be a good fit for the Rangers.

Hello, Sens fans! As you may be able to tell by my handle, I am a long-time Ranger fan. I was wondering if any of you on the Senators board could give me some info on Perry Pearn from a Senators fan point of view.

I am glad that this team is finally rebuilding and hopefully they will hold true to their new direction. Your team has drafted wonderfully through the years and have become one of the top franchises in the NHL. Hopefully, the Rangers can do the same and perhaps finally realize that there are no shortcuts to building a winner, regardless of how much money you have to spend.

Good luck this season, and let's hope we have a season to look forward to!

Pearn ran our PP, which was ranked #1 during this past reg season.

He had been on the team a long time, has worked well with all our young players. You've got an excellent assistant there.

Good, because our team was lacking on the PP, and the word from the locker room was that they never ran PP drills in practice (that's if they even practiced).

Did he also run the other special teams? (PK, 4-on-4, 5-on-3)

Thanks for the info!

The Rangers lack everything. As long as he can help with SOMETHING he'll be a good fit.

He was generally considered to be Martin's successor as head coach until they decided to clean house. He is a very very good assistant.

Yo will also like Benoit Allaire as goalie coach formerly of the Coyotes (had great success with Boucher there). His brother Francois is the man who taught Patrick Roy.

Goals scored maybe it was #1...but not for %...I think it was #2.

But, man oh man...our PP sure was on a tear during the playoffs last year...Pearn will be sorely missed for sure because of his ability to get our players to perform during the playoffs.

Sorry, I'm not sure how u'll take this, but is the last part sarcasm? I also wouldn't know about ur playoff PP since they barely showed any games from that series (too bad).

There was a reason I didn't mention post season.

Everything was AWOL during this years playoffs though. At one point or another anyway.

Also, I figured u wouldn't praise a coaches work during the playoffs. Still, for some reason I wasn't sure.
