I don't need anymore general electives after mana 300 so nah. The ewt is an English test and it's a joke.

What's stupid is that I have a class that has another class as a pre-requisite (which isn't part of my core classes) OR I can have the EWT. So stupid.

I also wasn't required to hand in a letter of intent or resume, or maybe they're going to ask for one after they look over everything since I'm only going to be accepted in the Winter. They need to accept a certain amount of Mature Students to meet their quota so I think grades are what matters most to them.

They treat you pretty well, I can't tell you if it's different from other students but usually they're very helpful, it also depends on the person, some are just bitter.

Before I applied I was a welder for 2.5-3 years and have a DEP in Welding Assembly and a Specialized certificate in Pipe Welding, I originally wanted to go into Engineering and it was disappointing they wouldn't credit any of my experience/education, but I can't blame them. Some people coast through trade schools, and some like me actually learn the material. They're a business and they make money off students so they tell them to take more courses.

If you can walk and talk, you can go to Brock

I've heard Laurier is a good business school though, it's also the party school for both itself and the Waterloo kids.

Just do the EWT. Seriously it's a joke. It was designed so that Engineering students wouldn't need to to the UWT which apparently is much harder.

If you have a basic grasp of the english language you will pass.

Basically, Encs 272 is meant for those bad at english. The whole idea is "do EWT and skip it, if you fail EWT(you get 2 chances), then, you clearly deserve to do Encs 272".

It's not that i'm afraid of taking a test or wtv, it's that I was supposed to take the other class with a friend and now I'm pretty much screwed out of that chance. Oh well.

You were supposed to take 282 or 272 with a friend? Btw, not screwed. There's tests pretty often, you may catch one before school starts.

I checked for you:

2011 September 10 11:00:00 MB-S2.210 On Paper
2011 August 20 11:00:00 MB-S2.330 On Paper

Oh I see, the encs account is going to be a good friend, unless you have a laptop on you all the time. I find the lighter bag and access to these PCs very useful.
Good luck on your first semester, this is my last and I want out!

I am not thrilled about starting a whole new leg of school. The education system doesn't agree with me, and like you, I want out ASAP.

Starting CEGEP in August... Gosh, that will change a lot from Secondary School. I just hope I'll be able to keep the results I had without working so much.
Kinda stressed about it though, I'm eager to see my schedule and just hope I don't have biology and chemistry on the same day.

I just had a question : How does the philosophy class work ? That's the class that afraids me the most. Seems hard and I heard some teachers could put bad grades just because you weren't of his opinion... which is always my case. X_X

Might be a bit OT but anyone know any Private high schools in Montreal that could take admissions of mid high school students (secondaire 4)?

Theres 50% chances I get kicked out of my current school (College notre dame) mainly because I'm unable to pass maths where my grade is wobbeling around the 50% mark. It really all depends on my Summer classes. Two weeks, two exams. I also have a private tutorship program that I'm going through this summer to maximize my chances as well as being on ADD Medication which helps me concentrate better. Though, I think I might have more chances then I think I really do of making it back in since like I said, I diagnosed with ADD and did 3 years of high school with ADD & Dyslexia without knowing it and keeping a average of 67% which is pretty good considering those handicaps. Mom told my school about it, Let's hope they understand my situation and give me another shot. But if this really does not work out...

mM mom's second option is to send me to College Rigaud, near Ottawa, where I'd be a pensioner student. I do not want to live at my school during the weekdays, I want to stay home and Live the normal life and lifestyle I'm currently in right now.

So the real question is; Do you guys know any private high schools that might take me If CND dosn't take me back? Only two that I thought of so far were College Francais or Marie de France

Thanks in advance bros

don't be afraid..school is easy... there's worst in life. If you study hard enough, nobody can give you a bad grade.

Avoid UofT's undergrad at all cost so if you don't like going to Ivey, Queen's then Laurier is fore sure the way to go. You'd be surprised how well Laurier's co op opens doors for you.
