Impossible unless they return to being the Dead Things, suck for 10 years, get a few lottery picks, and then come out of the wood work and talk ****.

Jets games for me have been really entertaining for me this year I can't wait!

For as much as they complain about us, I think Minnesota fans are more relived than anybody to get out of the Northwest Division. No more listing to Terhaar and Greenlay trying to force us to belive we have a rivalry with the Canucks anymore.

Except the Wings have actually won some championships. I think theyre getting due for a year where they miss the playoffs tho. They're getting old. Gotta skip a beat eventually.

Yup, I think they're trending (very slightly) downward, and with WPG, StL, and of course us trending pretty sharply upward, I could easily see them not making the top four within a few years. The streak has to die sometime.

#mnwild statement: "The Wild is thrilled with the NHL's realignment plan. This restores more traditional and regional rivalries with Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, St. Louis and Winnipeg. In addition, more Wild fans will be able to watch road games as a result of having more of our conference opponents playing in the Central time zone." #mnwild

Big winners in realignment: DAL, MIN, DET, CBJ. Reg season/playoff travel significantly reduced. More favorable TV sked (earlier road games)

About time the NHL took care of realignment. I was worried Dany would keep bringing me to Edmonton every month.

Also random thought: With no conferences, what does this mean with the Campbell and Prince of Wales Trophies?

More games against Chicago, St. Louis, Winnipeg, even Detroit. And less games against Edmonton. I'm happy with the realignment.

I wonder if Heatley's turtleneck and Clutterbuck's mustache hug when Dany and Cal hug.

well technically it's four conferences...so maybe 2 new trophies? Not sure what they'll do with those...

This means one trip to NW Canada per season from now on. Just one.

And I was just starting to enjoy the little "rivalry" we had going this season.

Oh well.

I know. We go from 20 road games games in the Mountain/Pacific time zone to 8. We can take care of that in one big swing to get it out of the way, and then the remaining 74 games are all Central/Eastern.

Guys!

Guys!

Guys guys guys!

Do you know what can happen now?

We could play the Oilers.

FOR THE STANLEY CUP.

Oh god I get goosebumps just thinking about it. I don't know if there's any way we could possibly troll them harder. I thought being in the division with them was good, but this is like, hardcore, long-term trolling. Welcome to the big leagues, boys.

The way were both playing right now it would be a really good series.

In a few years, when all their kids are grown up and in their primes, and all of our superprospects are in the lineup.... look out. That would be a series of epic proportions.

I love everything about this except for the Wings being with us. I've had to put up with their idiotic fans in MN that bandwagoned with them when we didn't have the Wild since the 90's and I hate seeing all the Red Wings jerseys in the stands for our home games. I am so excited for the Blues games though over the next few years, plus CHI is always a blast to watch too.

Florida and Tampa love this. Think about how much their attendance will spike when the home team for the snowbirds comes to town.

The teams that voted against it were likely Pittsburgh (vocal critic), Buffalo, Boston (no benefit playing the Florida teams, lose matchups with PIT/WSH/NYC teams), and one of the west teams, either Columbus or one of the California teams.
