Found out Ed Snider has Celiac Disease today, just like me. Makes me love the Flyers 100 times more.

I love the whole Kobe thing with the "gay" slur, simply cause it's obvious that way worse has been said by hockey players to other players, coaches, refs, away fans, home fans, wives, equipment managers, and ice girls.

And like you said, all in real time.

Exactly. In hockey, you just punch the guy. In basketball, you get fined and start up some sort of passive-aggressive thing in the media. Maybe later you slap his arm during the next game.

All logistics aside, have you thought about netting? Just for your patio, I mean.

With those freakishly long, skinny arms, most look like Squidward in a fistfight.

Just imagine if the other major team sports allowed fighting in the same way that hockey does. Pitcher and batter square off while umps circle them waiting for them to tire themselves out. Football players wailing away at each other. Baskeball players whipping each other with their arms under the basket. That would be pretty chuckle-worthy.

Can I just say that EA sports is an absolute joke with this online pass ********? I've had an error on it and now I can't play. Guess buying the game isn't enough, huh?

hah, did anyone catch the indy500 ending right now?
Some rookie has the lead on the final lap of like 1000000 and in the final turn, BAM, he hits the wall. Wow.

Yeah, no kidding. He actually was close to winning it anyway, finished 2nd on three wheels. That was cool.

Jacob DeSerres (former Flyer draft pick) just won the Memorial Cup for Saint John. He was absolutely brilliant.

Who needs a goalie. I mean really...

DeSerres didn't do anything with Seattle, wasn't even their starter. I still find it odd that he switched leagues a couple of years after being drafted.

That's not to say he will always suck or anything; impossible to tell with goalies.

We can, but we won't. He'll never be an NHL goalie. There's a reason they didn't sign him a year ago and he hasn't done anything to change that, as far as I'm concerned.

I don't know that he'll ever be an NHL goalie (aren't they all longshots?) but his game is very different. He said in an interview that something just "clicked" over the summer when he was working on his game, and while I only saw him a few games this year, there's a definite difference. Playing behind a great team will help stats, but he also won a few singlehandedly, including their biggest game of the year. That was just plain theft last night. Mississauga threw everything they had and then some at him, and he didn't falter.
