ATL-MTL (Bogosian)

Montreal Receives:

D Zach Bogosian

Atlanta/Winnipeg/whoever Receives:

D Yannick Weber
RW Danny Kristo
2012 First Round Pick

- Is the value here? What needs to be changed?

I rather the 1rst rounder be in 2011. 2012 is supposed to be a stronger draft than this year's.

My intuition is that boosian will leave ATL for Carter, but if not, this is a decent alternate deal that could be made. And I did say decent, as it's surely going to get outbid... Bogosian is still loaded with talent.

Don't think there's any chance they'd part with Bogosian for that package.

Terrible deal.

Not even close in value.

I agree with the ATL poster, if you want Bogosian you would have to part with Subban whether you like it or not.

And that would be a lateral move at best so it makes not sense.

Yeah no,

I wouldn't give you Subban for either one, I'd hang up faster then you could get the words out.

I would be interested in something centered around though

Leblanc and Tinordi

Or

Kostitsyn and one of leblanc and Tinordi,

Thats just my opinion though

I'd love to have Bogosian. But considering their current learning curves, trading Subban for Bogosian at this point is not a lateral move. There is no way the habs would even think about Subban for Bogosian in my mind.

the OP is off the value...but anyone thinking Bogo would land Subban right now are trolling. Bogo regressed....alot. Bogo hasn't been able to hold a candle to PK's performance thus far. He has a high ceiling...but potential and performance have to meet up and they haven't even been in the same time zone so far for Bogo.

So if the Jets want Subban it's Bogo +

deal with it!

lol

Subban >>>>>>>>> Bogosian

You over value Bogosian, whether you like it or not.

Bogosian has regressed so much that is value is over stated and is not worth what Atlanta wants or fans think what he is worth. He is not worth the risk/reward.

Bogosian's value may have regress but c'mon guys....not that much. True that I would not take him over Subban but you have to give to get. At 20, he is far from a bust label and will be a good top 4. How good?will see...but good.
In the end, it's not a good fit.

Have you seen him play this year? Was not pretty to watch.

Not saying he is a bust yet, but too many questions and doubts to be worth what Atlanta wants in return. He as seriously put doubts in my mind this year as having what it takes to be a top D in the league, therefore not worth the risk of giving up a lot for him.

For me, he has passed the bar or being worth to give up a lot for. Either Atlanta edvelops him properly or he becomes a bust in the next few years. Don't see a team willing to give up a lot for him.

I have seen him play and yes at time it wasn't pretty but still not many 20 years old guy's D game are perfect. He has the vision, the size and skating abuilty that many GM crave on there blue line. For me, this coming year, he will be one year older, one year more mature and with a decent coach and on a different team, he's gonna have a better look to his game. I just hope he didn't pickup to many bad habit from playing on a team that wasn't really......well on a crap team(sorry to there fan) and on a team with no real direction or purpose.

I've seen a lot better offers for Bogosian than what Montreal has offered here.

On another note Winnipeg has the patience to let Bogosian develop, so there's really no need for them to deal a young player that they can market to the Winnipeg fans.

How about Ron Hainsey?

That's the scary part. Bob Hartley who is still well connected to the organization mentionned at one point this season that players like Kane and Bogo had literaly regressed in their game in the past 2 years and it was a real concern to him.

I just have that feeling that mentally he does not have what it takes. And for a market like Montreal, that's just not good. I really believe he would flop in a big hockey market.

Well Montreal can't afford to part with the pieces Atlanta would demand in return for Bogo and for that reason alone, it's a no go for me.
Unless Atlanta wants something like Weber+ Palushaj and a mid pick(still a average offer and easily topped by other team)
