I'm disappointed if he didn't skate around cupping his ear and letting the boos rain down.

I started laughing really hard by the end of the first page. I love threads like that. The topic creator basically dunks himself in blood then jumps into a shark tank.

Are there enough gamers on this board to warrant an OT: Video Games thread? I'd use it.

Make one then. If it doesn't fly with Gopher or TP for some crazy reason it'll be closed and that's that. You may get off lightly with an infraction being that you're a regular poster here.

You might as well just use the General thread. If enough people talk about it where it overtakes the thread or gets lost in the riff-raff (like the music) then we'll know it's warranted. I just don't like having OT threads for everything.

I had the same thought, a master video game thread would be cool...but I think there might already be one floating around. I also wouldn't want to have a dozen OT threads, but I think we only have three, right?

I mean, us guys are pretty simple creatures, we're basically interested in:

Women
Sports
Beer
Food
Video Games
TV/Movies
Music

Right?

Am I the only one who just hates what they did with NHL 11? The hitting is nice, but everything else seemed like a step back from 10.

Also, I'm disgustingly disappointed with Dead Space 2, the first was great but flawed, the second is too little innovation and too much of the same and almost no plot to speak of. A real shame...

I didn't bother with NHL 11. I already didn't feel like 10 was enough of an upgrade over 09. I'm waiting until 12.

Re-watching the Wild game against the Canucks (10/19) I HD PVR'd.

What an awesome game that was.

EDIT: And now, I'm watching Rick Rypien vs the fan. Good times.

I'm playing through Half Life 2...I've been working at it for six years now and still haven't finished it

Well, I should say I started it when it came out for PC, got it for 360 two years ago and got a ways through it, then just picked it up again a couple weeks back. Really fun game.

I've heard good things, the demo kind of steered me away, but I think it's in my gamefly queue.

It's actually pretty fun because you can do pretty much anything. Definitely a game just to go screw around with once and a while. With his zip-line deally attached to his arm and a parachute, there's pretty much no way to die unless from gun fire.

And hi-jacking planes and helicopters in mid-air is just plain entertaining.

The map in this game is HUGE, though.

This is sort of what I figured.

Yeah, you're the only one. I think everything is just vastly improved. So many subtle changes that add up so much. And I don't even play HUT or EASHL.

Just got the Comeback King achievement, too! (Win in ranked online play after being down by 2+ goals at the 2nd intermission). Best part: tied it on a hat trick by Butch. Woo!

I really need to play more of this game. So much fun to dick around in. Tethering two planes together is a personal goal.
