Idea for sports franchise

So I am here in Richmond, just trying to figure out why I love buffalo. The city needs a 90' s bills shrine. It would be a real destination.

That triangle lot near the electric tower would be great. Perhaps a roof top field for families

High school photo,s of ex players.

A nice outdoor waterfall towards genesee st.

Walking in to the sound of van miller.

Pretty much set up like an interactive art gallery.

Yea, let's build a shrine for a joke of a franchise.

A 4 superbowl loser.

A owner that soaks erie county for all it's worth.

That makes as much sense as building a shrine for the Sabres.

No doubt the organizers would want tax money to help build this wonderful shrine.

It would attract about 100,000 people the first year, 20,000 the following year, and about 2,000 every year after that.

Well I don't see them anything like that. In fact they had some of the better players and coaches in the league at that time. However your picture is pretty funny.

I know some die hard fans that would go at least once a year.

Nah. It would just give more credence to Buffalo '66 and the people who think that is true about WNY.

Think about it.... People on here ask what there is to do in buffalo all the time. And I bet not one of them would turn down a trip to the bills shrine.

I think there should be a "John Rigas" theme park right in Niagara Sawquare.

Or a 4 time AFC Champion. It's all a matter of perspective.

They could build a modern parking garage(or one to match the electric tower) Then build some kind of design on top. It would be a fantastic place. And would be fun to be able to rent the roof field for two hand or flag football tourtements.

Or m&t could build the garage and put that large lot to better use. He'll. Ideally... Sell the large lot to ecc

Yea, we can rotate all the Rigas's in a dunk tank and a "how fast can you throw a baseball" at a criminal.

Yea 4 Time afc champion ... Let's celebrate the "almost good enough" teams.

Quick question - if you had a kid that was Salutatorian, do you congratulate them or call them an academic loser?

Congratulate them ... Take them out to dinner ... Celebrate the hard work .... Do not build a shrine, statue, or spend tax payer money on him/her.

Thanks for asking. I decided to relocate for the summer and possibly beyond. As of now I am living in a motel looking for a reasonable apartment. I just needed to get away from the family and Virginia is for lovers. Vcu looks like a pretty neat experience and the science museum looks out of this world.

a couple of our kid's friends attend VCU; it's a good school, and it's engineering school is getting some high marks...

don't forget the VMFA... you just missed a major Picasso exhibit, but they have some nice exhibits there.

also, we just did this as a teambuilder, but I recommend it to anyone wanting to see more of the area. do a segway tour of the historical area of downtown (google "segway of richmond")... about 2 1/2 hours...

...visit Hollywood Cemetery
...take in the Civil War Museum over by the old Tredegar Ironworks.

enjoy your stay!

That's awesome. I drove through the historical area during my first trip here. It's good to know that they are not that progressive. It was certainly interesting to see a whole line of segways. Sucks about the picas so exhibit. I am trying to figure out the best area to move to. Thanks for the encouragement.

But it appears you realize that coming in second takes a bit of hard work and dedication to get there.

Don't get me wrong I'm not advocating building a shrine either, but I don't know where the mentality of looking back 20 years later with the attitude that they were a joke and a loser comes from. Sure that's the way they are now, but people around here were pretty proud of the Bills in the 90s and still have good memories. The way your very first reaction was to just trash them and laugh about it just rubbed me the wrong way.

I really can't see much else to do with sports that has been more worth while.
