I know you're not lying because something obviously happened for you to feel that way, but like I said I'm just going to wait until more facts are shown.

I believe the first reports came up in 1998 after Sandusky had a fantastic season...then he's suddenly let go. That alone raises a lot of red flags for me. You don't fire a coach while he's doing a fantastic job, unless you have a very good reason to. I also find it extremely unlikely that Paterno wasn't perfectly aware of the police report generated on his own campus concerning his own coach when he made the decision to cut him...yet allowed him to stick around campus. I think it's likely that they knew what Sandusky was up to and did their best to hide it so they could preserve their precious image at the expense of children. Paterno loves being in control, and he owns that campus. There's no way he wasn't involved in all the decisions, and it sickens me that others are probably going to take the fall for him.

PSU needs to purge the entire program and start from scratch.

Sandusky resigned, but I understand what you're saying. However, did you know he admitted to the shower thing to the kids mom in 1998? Detectives heard him, but no charges were filed... Something really, really bad is about to be found out about the whole area.

"I was wrong," Sandusky said, according to a Pennsylvania grand jury document released Saturday. "I wish I could get forgiveness. I wish I were dead."
That's from 1998.

Like I said, I only expect it to get worse, but I'm hoping for something different since what PSU and Paterno have always meant and symbolized....And I agree that they all need to go.

Yeah, we are only at the tip of the iceberg. This is going to get much, much worse.

Can you imagine if this has something to do with the death of the county DA? He went missing in 2005 and was never found. He was just declared legally dead this year I believe.

Thing that bothers me the most is that Sandusky started his camp in the 70's (I think). These actions didn't just randomly start in 1998. That's all going to be revealed soon enough.

Apparently the abuse that led to the 98 report occurred in 1994.

This is actually the worst I've felt over something that really didn't directly impact me in a long time.

Just read the entire 23 page Grand Jury report. Some real ugly, ugly stuff in there.

Yea, I read it too. Sick, sick stuff. Dude is gonna rot one way or another, but that doesn't change what he did or make it better.

People need to start stepping up across the board...it always comes out that so-and-so could've done something X years ago but failed to take action. Always, always happens. Apathy, indecision, and laziness enable these situations.

I don't really know what happened, but football means nothing to me anymore.
The Eagles were the center of my sports world my entire life, up until 2004, when Baseball took complete control.
Soon after, Hockey started to gain my attention also.
Now I couldn't care less about football whatsoever.
Baseball>Hockey>Basketball>Soccer>Football

I feel really trivial now that I read the posts that were before my last one..

People who abuse kids like that are the lowest of the low.

I don't believe in hell, but it makes me hope there is one, so people like that have a place to burn.

Yeah. It's all conjecture at this point, but doesn't the guy have like four or five adopted kids? Have there ever been any accusations by them I wonder?

Joe Pa fired. Horrible way to end his career. One game away from setting the record for most games coached.

I guess he should have helped molested children instead of his assistant coach. Just a suggestion.

Hmmmm...Gary Schultz was in charge of the Penn State Campus POLICE. JoePa told Gary Schultz about the Sandusky events. He was effectively telling not just the Police, but the person in charge of the Police.

Maybe you should, you know, make sure you're right before you open your mouth.

He did not report it to Gary Schultz he reported it to the AD. Why would he not follow up after that?

And Gary Schultz just oversaw the university police, its not like he was an officer.

Yep. Joe Pa knew about what was going on and he allowed that monster to continue using PSU and their facilities to abuse children. Great guy.

There's reports that more information will come out about the case on Sandusky that will horrify the public... Nobody will say what it is but it is obviously dramtic.

Saying something is deadly serious is either a really, really poor choice of words OR something absolutely god awful occurred.

Sad part is no one seems to care about the victims, it's all about JoePa.

Alright but he told somebody. He tried to do something about it but I agree that it wasn't enough but the way he's being thrown out like this is total ********. Mike McCreary still has a job and he saw the act and didn't do anything. Yeah JoePa should shoulder some of the blame but not be thrown under the ****ing bus like this.
