Getting sharks jersey tailored?

I know this is the most evil thing you can do to hockey jerseys, I own a White CCM Marleau jersey, and teal marco sturm jersey from 04.

Now, these are sized at XXL.. I got them when I was at my heaviest weight at 312 lbs, during the past year I've lost nearly 98 pounds thus far, and these jerseys don't fit me at all.

my girlfriend suggested getting them tailored, it sounds like a great idea, but I don't want to ruin the jerseys, has anyone ever attempted this?

Should I just keep them how they are?

Getting them fixed to fit you again is nearly an impossible task if you lost about 100 pounds.

People usually throw away their fat clothes, you know? You could give them away.

sell them both and buy a new jersey if they don't fit you any more.

Well they're the old 98-07 Jerseys that I loved so much, perhaps I could use them for wall decorations, damn.

Shortly after he was sold to Real Madrid, I saw a Rudd Van Nistelrooy jersey for $20 bucks at Marshalls. It was three sizes too big, so I didn't buy it. Huge mistake, as it would've looked sick on my wall. I recommend doing your best to get them autographed, and enjoying them as some awesome decorations, especially if you have a man cave.

you could at least try to get the Marleau signed and have it framed?

(and congrats on your accomplishment)

If it's as big as you say, and you've lost as much as you say...

.... cut it in half and make two new jerseys...

Just start playing in goal for a beer league team and that will be your goalie jersey! (add a little webbing under the arm pits).

Congrats on your achievement!

If you have a car/truck I'd use them as seat covers. It's not like you'd have to worry about them fading and looking bad on you. When my Sharks jerseys get too nasty to wear that's what I'll do. What does everyone think about that as an idea?
