If anyone find any mistakes, point them out.

No mistakes, just the headers on the columns are a bit fuzzy so it's hard to read. I'm sure everyone can understand though.

Nice work though!

Nice work rocket, sick to have something to keep track of all the signings.

Richards, Laich as a winger, Upshall, and Ward are the guys i'd want.

Besides that I'd like to see us lock up T Brent again as our 4th line C.

Where do you put Laich and Upshall though? Assuming you want them both as wingers and you keep Mac/Grabo/Kule together, the only place for either of them is the third line. Since you have Armstrong on RW, that leaves LW open for one of them, unless Laich plays C.

Upshall/Ward as a 3rd line winger.

I think a 3rd line of Upshall Kadri Army would be fantastic.

Laich could fill in that spot as well, or play 3rd line C if we decide definitively that Kadri will be a winger at the NHL level. Although he may be a little expensive as a 3rd liner at the 3-3.5 mill range.

EDIT: No doubt its going to get crowded though. Bozak needs a place to play still, and he's got to be in our top 9. These guys will all probably only get signed if a #1 C doesnt fall into place.

I wonder how much Chad Larose is looking for. He'd be a great third/fourth line centre if we can get him for cheap. Not a priority, though, I suppose.

I would like to order off your FA menu,
1-Jamie Langenbrunner, he is one of Burke's and Wilson's favorite American son's
1-Tomas Fleischmann
1-Maxime Talbot...loves the way he plays

3 solid additions IMO, 2 of them still 27 years old.
I would also like Boyce back too.

I didn't catch anything else other than Brooks Laich incorrectly listed among the centers. Nice job though.

I wouldn't mind seeing Laich signed if Burke can land him for 3.5 or so. Could be a good 3rd line left wing with Kadri as center.
Would also like to see Konopka signed for 4th line center. Adds some toughness, size, is good defensively and great at face-offs

Does anyone think there would be a deal available for the rights to Troy Brouwer (who is a RFA)? I know Chi wouldn't want to loose him but with them tight to the cap maybe they could be tempted with something? I suppose if the cap goes up 2-3 million they will have no problem retaining him tho.... I just think he would be a great addition to the 3rd line...

the only one on that list who could help us is richards. he is the only legitimate top line player on that list. everyone else is just basically a different version of what we have. imo it doesnt make sense to sign someone like laich for $3+ million. if we didnt have lupul at $4.2 or armstrong at $3 then perhaps but as far as im concerned there are no positions available on our team for the people on that list.

lupul xxxxxx kessel
kulemin grabs mac
kadri bozak armstrong
brown brent orr
boyce

This is EXACTLY how I see it. I think that this is going to work just fine. The only thing that I could see changing would be Kadri up to 2nd line wing if MacArthur is moved in a trade for that #1 guy. But hopefully we can land Richards.

We'll then have a D that looks like:

xxxxx Schenn
Aulie Phaneuf
Gunnarsson Komisarek
Lashoff/Lebda

Reimer
Gustavsson/xxxxxx

#1 C, 2-4 pairing PMD, and *possibly* a veteren backup/1b guy. Thats a playoff team in my mind, no doubt about it.

I honestly cannot see Burke sign a stop gap Center man for a year or two. (Connolly, Laich, etc). Its either Richards or trade for a #1. And if neither of those happen then I wouldn't be surprised to see Colborne or even Kadri play between Kessel and Lupul.

Burke believes that there is no point of making the playoff unless he thinks we will go far. If worse comes to worse, we miss the playoffs and draft a good talent or trade the pick for a #1 Centerman.

Then by the 2012/2013 season (maybe later) we can cause some damage in the playoffs.

Hey LR, if you can somehow increase the column width, then each entry would take half the space, since currently, team name is occupying twice the amount of rows.

Great work nevertheless..Here's to hoping for replacing 'Dallas Stars' with 'TML' in the first entry

I'm not convinced we're a PO contender next season, so I wouldn't be a opposed to a stop-gap C to replace Bozak until Big Joe is ready in possibly 2012-13.

i could live with that but really its neither here nor there. this guys are all interchangeable. the outcome on the season will be the same.

quit simply we need someone who will maximize kessels performance. lines 2-4 are actually pretty good imho.

we also obviously need someone to play with schenn.

Not a terribly impressive list of forwards available this summer. Richards will end up being horribly overpaid and given too much term. Let someone else make that mistake.
When 100 % healthy (which is hardly ever), Tim Connolly is good NHL center with a little bit of an edge. I always liked Arnott but he's now over the hill. Brooks Laich is overrated and his numbers are inflated. Ville Leino could be a prize, his stock may still be on the rise.

Players who I don't like but who Burke might like: Ben Eager and Cam Janssen. Both are thugs capable of taking a regular shift in the NHL.

I don't get it if you don't agree with it why do you speculate this trade? boat on Liles already sailed. Word was Burke would only take him for a 3rd rounder so he dosn't value him that highly. but again, why where did you get this and why do you make up trades that you don't agree with? its lost on me.
