We're slowing down. Less to talk about. We'll probably make it to 12-14 before the draft, but not 20.

Well, pretty much every prospect who might be available at our pick is done with his season.

I'm pretty confident that we'll pick one of the top 8. With Lou you never know, but I think it's pretty clear who's in the top tier of talent for this draft.

I think we're going to get one hell of a player. I'm kind of leaning toward Couturier at the moment. It'd be so sweet if we had a big, awesome center.

I`m pretty confident we`ll pick the player left on #4 or trade down and pick Murphy. At this point, I just can`t see any other outcome.

So have we all decided that Larsson is a pipe dream at 4? I think Lou will just take the BPA at the time.

There's really no consensus to go by other than RNH going first overall. It's a complete crapshoot at this time.

On the bright side, only 701 hours left until the draft.

I’m hearing a lot more buzz that [Huberdeau] is the kid the Avs might take at No. 2 – if he’s still available, that is. One high-ranking NHL person told me he believes Colorado will take him, in fact, based on what he’s been hearing.

I would love him on the team. The saving grace, for me, considering the center issue is that josefson was on a wing at djurgarden and is our C now. We could simply develop and teach him how to play c and how to play C the devils way.

Why wouldn't Florida draft Larsson again?

A need for franchise forward, Petrovic, Kulikov, Gudbranson and Ellerby?

Doesn't surprise me in the least that the Avs are considering Huberdeau at #2. He fits very well with the type of players and style of play the Avalanche like to play. Coloardo is a high-octane team and have a lot of fast-skating forwards. Huberdeau going before we pick means it is likely that it will be Larsson, Landeskog and Couturier as the possible selections at #4. Larsson is obviously the one the majority of us are hoping for, but Landeskog or Couturier would be pretty darn good consolation prizes.

Either one of those three would make me a very happy fan.
