Yeah, I agree. I'd love to be able to control prices. Tickets, concessions, etc. Trying to keep attendance up could be fun.

I buy 2 games every year. NHL and FIFA. Haven't bought Madden in about 8 years, and I'll never buy it again.

It's a joke, you know, since he never gets on the ice.

I get NHL when something significant happens with it. Every year with zero to minimal changes... meh.

MLB The Show is the pinnacle of sports gaming. The detail and authenticity of that game is off the charts.

NHL is right up there with it

I'll buy Madden as well, but The Show and NHL spend the most time in my PS3 by far.

I also buy Call of Duty every year

Absolutely true. I wish NHL had the presentation of The Show.

Well when the baseball players only have some many things they can do it's kind of easy. A nice slow game is easier to program than hockey where there are sooo many things to worry about in gameplay.

With that said, EA still needs to step it up on the NHL franchise.

Rather then all this gimmicky Legend stuff and Ultimate team mumbo jumbo I'd sooner see them tweak the BAP mode more, or the offseason to make things more realisitic.

The NBA2K series is good for that. Training camps, scouting, draft combine, etc etc... If the NHL series went that route it would make it far more enjoyable imo.

Me too. I stopped playing Be a Pro because I, as a rookie center on the third line, got 40+ minutes of ice time a game. The straw that broke the camel's back for me was a game where the entire game was played by the third line and the first line... the second and fourth lines literally never touched the ice. I was done with it after that.

The way they tweak it now is that you play full 20 minute periods so you're on the ice for a normal shift, sometimes longer, like 2 minutes and then you're off the ice and you can sim 'til your next shift.

That sounds pretty cool. Worth trying, anyway.

Yup. No more calling your own line on. Great addition.

Definitely. It's way too easy to rack up unrealistic point totals when you play 55 minutes of every game.

I won't be playing any EA Sports game for a bit. I'm going to have my office intialize my work PC and put all the work crap back on it. That being said, I try to run any EA Sports game and get the following: 'debugger' had been detected and that I should unload the debugger and try again.' Any of you PC Wizards out there have the slightest idea what to do with that or should I just wait for tomorrow for my employer's PC wizards to do their thing with my wayward computer ?
