18 yrs ago today - Kerry Fraser

Ahhhhhh 18 short yrs ago today when Kerry Fraser missed the Gretzky high-stick on Gilmour, leading to LA scoring and eventually going on to meet Montreal in the finals.

Leaf fans still cry in the beer stating they got shafted. Get real! How can a ref call something he didn't see?! GET OVER IT!

The '93 run was THE BEST
However, I often think back as to what the outcome would have been had we ended up playing the Leafs.

Don't get me wrong, I bleed Habs but Gilmour that yr in the playoffs was playing like he was from another planet!

the reason that leaf fans hang on to that missed call is because it's the closest they have come to the finals since 1967. Had there been a cup since that call or even a finals appearance, then nobody would be talking about it today.

In Vancouver, canucks fans still talk about 1994 all the time but that will soon change with their current run. However, in Toronto, one would think that they will still talk about 1993 for the foreseeable future.

I'm just happy that it gets to be our team that won the cup and beat the team that the lost to in 7. It makes it so much better than just having them come close and fail does.

Winners remember cups, losers remember excuses and penalties.

I think the Leaves got shafted ... One of my closest friends was forever wounded. If that weren't Princess Wayne that never gets called imho ...

Another point that always pisses him off was saying that Marty won that fight between he and Wendy ... Good times

Laffs have nobody but themselves to blame...sure they got screwed but they lost game 7 on home ice right after. No excuse.

Interestingly, Fraser was also the ref involved with that infamous goal (or non goal... ;p) from Alain Coté (Nordiques) against Montreal that people from Quebec city are still talking about 22-25 years after
