Oilers fan here - I was a Bruins fan before the Oil joined the NHL.

I speak for many Oil fans when I say: kick the crap out of those annoying SOBs.

I really don't care who wins, however, as it'd be pretty awesome to see either the Canucks winning their first* or the Bruins winning their first in almost 40 years. I'm a hockey fan plain and simple. I see both teams as deserving to be in the final.

* I'm probably alone on this here.
I may not like certain players on an opposing team for certain reasons(e.g. dirty player) but I generally don't hate other teams. What I do hate are certain fans of other teams. I actually respect the hell out of the Habs and like many of their players .....but some (not all mind you) of their fans rub me the wrong way.

A good friend of mine is a Habs fan and he has even told me that he is embarrassed by the way that some of his fellow Hab fans act. He hates the ones who always spout off about how many cups they've won and act like they know more about hockey than anyone else and just seem to have a sense of self entitlement when it comes to hockey.

And, for the record, I find some fans of the Bruins insufferable as well.

So see, we Bruin fans aren't really so bad....so ya gonna root for the Bruins now?

If everyone wasnt so superstitious about avatars id suggest some ironic "America's Team" designs.

Boston has devil fans on their side as well. I want Luongo to choke more than anything. I also give the edge in depth to Boston. I don't see how lapierre, torres, and hansen can even compare to what ryder, kelly, and seguin have done in the playoffs. The 4th lines are a wash. I just think the Canucks are overrated and the Bruins will win this series. If the Bruins can manage the offense of Stamkos, lecavalier, gagne, burgenheim, and st.louis then they should be fine against kesler and the sedins.

"But many will only go as far as wearing the Team Canada jersey, indicating support for countrymen."

More like they're turning up to bars to watch the game more than supporting the Canucks.

If they're supporting countrymen, surely the Bruins 22 Canadians trumps Vancouvers 16.

Anyway, im making a petty argument. But hey, these boards are full of those

You're making a good point there. While I think the Canucks have to be considered the favourites here I wonder if their fans saying they've got better depth at the forward position have actually even watched one single Bruins game, or taken a look at the Bruins roster for this season.
If somehow the top two lines were to neutralize each other that's good news for the Bs as their bottom six is certainly superior.

While its nice to see Malhotra back after his injury.. he is not going to be in late season form. He hasnt played in 2 1/2 months, he is likely to play less than ten minutes a game, and it has been reported that his vision is less than 20/400..hes a good player but he is not going to be at near tip top form.... The Canucks have the better top end talent.. but the Bruins have a better 4 lines.. just listen to Guy Boucher in his post game press conference.

You need to copy the stuff after "v=" and use the youtube-tags here on HFB

Although I have to say I am not quite sure why you would post that

I know that I am probably reaching, but I am predicting Game 5 because it is my youngest daughter's birthday, and that would just make her year complete, according to her (us, too!). I hope that she gets her birthday wish.

This might be a dumb question but if the Bruins win is Seguin going to be allowed in the locker room to celebrate since hes not 21 and therefore can't have champagne or beer with everyone else?

Sure you can. Vancouver blew a 3-0 lead against Chicago and they are more than capable of doing it again.

Dear God how insane would that be, except if the B's finished the job. Talk about complete vindication for last year.

He's got to be above 20/400; that's the NHL's minimum requirement for vision, so he wouldn't be allowed to play if he was below that.

As far as conditioning goes, he's apparently still in great shape; I've heard he's a fitness nut, so while he's obviously not at the point he was at before the injury, he should still be in pretty good form.

Okay, so pretty much everyone has the Bruins losing the cup except Burnside but I think this is fairly sobering when it comes to how Vancouver is not more awesome than Boston:

http://www.nhl.com/ice/teamstats.htm...wName=goalsFor

Just scroll through the stats and decide for yourself whether the Nucks are the dominant team.

Levy and Burnside have us winning in 6. Of course Melrose has us losing like he has the entire playoffs.

Burnside is really awful. He had the Bruins losing all three rounds. He also had the Lightning losing the first two rounds but winning the third. He's like 0 for 368. He has to be right at least once, and once he will be!
