Call me Don Maloney .
Why don't we say it was actually McCabe's rights plus the Rangers' 4th for your 3rd so it's more realistic (but doesn't affect the mock as it stands)?

The New York Islanders are pleased to select, from the OHL's Kitchener Rangers, winger Gabriel Landeskog.

Islanders top-six has the potential to be scary good. Especially if they add a player like Landeskog. Yikes.

Yea im hoping they wont but still, im pretty scared of what their potential to become is.. I hope we can make a splash in a trade and get a in their prime legit 1st line player or move into the top 10 and draft a guy like Strome.

It's true. They're getting close.

I particularly liked Landeskog for them, as he seems like a "sure thing" to at least be a steady contributor, if not a star. I think adding a safe (but immensely talented) pick like Landeskog really helps round out their corps of forward prospects.

I'm rooting for them. I miss the rivalry and it saddens me to see the franchise get screwed over by Hempstead that much.

I think he's a great option to anchor the leadership role for their forward group. I see him as a 50-60 point guy, but those intangibles would be huge in leading that team out of the basement.

I'd really like to see them add a stud shutdown d-man to their blue line. De Haan is a stellar puck mover, and Hamonic could be that guy, but I think they could use a true anchor back there.

Poulin has huge potential as a starting goalie as well.

Hmmm, this has the makings of last year's draft, with a huge run on forwards in the top 10.

I certainly hope BPA at our 15 spot is a forward. If it's a Dman, we need to trade down unless it's Murphy, which I don't see it being.

Duncan Siemens is on the board. He's a good Western Canadian boy, those winters in Winnipeg won't bother him at all.
