Uhh..what? Little and Kane are great centers down the middle, our big issue is on the wing. Would rather just offload salary then do a lateral swap and end up costing us a pick that lets us draft someone like Zibanejad, Saad or Biggs.
To expand on the answer:
This trade would have our center depth as Stastny - Kane - Little - Antropov -Burmistrov DO NOT WANT a 4M 4TH LINER
While the defense shrinks to Byfuglien, Enstrom, Oduya, Hainsey, Stuart.
And if Wheeler doesn't want to re-sign the only RW worth anything is Dvorak.
Winnipeg gets nothing significant out of the deal, loses the 7th overall, and doesn't even drop salary.

.....uhh...what? Kane plays LW(plays at center rarely).
I'm a bit of a defense-homer so this would really entice me, but unless Winnipeg is offering up Kane instead of the 7th overall I think this doesn't fly (We'd have to restructure the deal at that point of course). Which wouldn't work for Winnipeg either most likely, so neither team ends up trading together.
I will admit though... Bogosian is a piece the Avs would probably become interested in if the asking price wasn't one of our centers or the #2 overall. Him and EJ would be a pretty nice 1-2 punch for the next 10 years if Bogo could recapture his potential to be a top pairing dman.
Is Winnipeg going to be in our division? I know a poster above mentioned it as a possibility... I hadn't seen any word on the final decision yet.
The only way any deal for Stastny works is if the Leafs are first able to acquire Bogosian and the 7th overall for a package of Scrivens, Clarke MacArthur, Bozak, Phi/Bos 1st round picks, a fresh strawberry pie, and a handful of magic beans. THEN the Avs will be receptive.
But having #2, #7 and #11 would be nice. And then if the Avs could some how trade up to a spot where they can end up with Jonathan Huberdeau at #2 and Sean Couturier in the #3-6 range.
Your definitely entitled to your opinion but I disagree.
I'd rather have Staz. There are question marks about these guys offensive abilities. At least with Staz, you know your getting a ppg player, which for some reason, no one wants. And the the more likely scenario is we end up with Strome and Huberdeau. I'd rather have Larsson Stastny and the 11th.
I wouldn't from a WPG perspective. As opposed to what others might say I'm not a fan of us making a "splash" just for the sake of doing it.
Bogo is still only 20 and I'm fine holding onto the 7th.
Statsny is the best player in the deal and very well could end up being the best player in the long run but for now I'm more in favor of rebuilding from within.
Nice point, I would also rather hold on to Stastny than take a risk with Bogo. We already have our #1 in EJ, and an abundance of D-men in the pipeline, and we need proven veterans not project players no matter how great they could end up.
Stastny has proven that he can be a PPG player in the NHL and he is a #1 center. Bogosian has the potential to be a very good player but so far he hasn't shown it. He's only 20 years old and will most likely get a lot better but I wouldn't trade Stastny for two unknowns. That's a pretty big risk to take.

Johnson, Quincey, Liles, O'Byrne, Hunwick, Wilson, and Cumiskey. Then guys like Elliott and Barrie in the minors.
We definitely need help on defense. Johnson is really the only guy we can count on. I think Elliott and Barrie can be good but they have yet to play a game in the NHL.
