does your husband sit near section 316?

Unfortunately no, but I'd be willing to send him up there! He sits right next to me on the damn couch. I swear I just want to smack him upside the head sometimes.

For crying out loud he said Duncan Keith was a better player than Chara and Chara is only a top 10 (not top 3 or top 5)Dmen in the league today. Clueless.

Fairly typical of a casual/Boston-centric hockey fan to hear these names automatically assume they are great players. It is easy to assume since some guys are more graceful that they are more effective.
I agree with you and others Chara certainly rates top 5. Felger is wrong saying he's much closer to top 10 than top 5. Since he's been with Boston I'd slot him at 3, clearly behind Lidstrom and Pronger, ahead of Blake, Neids & Boyle.

I thought about this when I was forming my last reply. Sinden would not have been lamenting not picking up the fat, old Tkachuk or the tired and done LArmer.

I am not having my best day today.

THanks for the follwoup thoughg. Much appreciated.

HOLY CRAP

A radio station just called my house. I have a bad feeling I might have been picked for the trivia. I was afraid to answer. I hope they leave a message.

Do they do that? Leave messages? My DD won the NESN trivia question thingy the other day. She still has no idea if she actually won anything other than "_______ won todays trivia challenge" on their twitter/web page. LOL

It was 103.3, not the sports hub. Weird. No message, and I didn't enter anything on there.

I'm assuming Doak's response is for me. Prefaced the whole statement w/ emphasis on defensive defenseman and Chara's shut down abilities. Despite Chara's lack of offensive production, he's been nominated for a Norris on basically his defensive play alone.

Yeah, having my "hockey credibility" challenged by a guy who said Chuck Kobesew could be a 50 goal man, US Olympic team wasn't that big of an upset, and Bobby Orr wasn't a very smart hockey player. This guy's hockey credibility stole certainty's car and drove right off BS cliff at 8000 rpm.

I think Felger's comparing Chara to a field of defensemen that hasn't existed in 10 years. He's undeniably been top 5 for a long time.
