This guys going to be great. If only those berglund for schneider rumors a couple years back had been true.

Edit: Good signing for Berglund. Prove he can put up 60 ~ points and he'll get a healthy raise after this contract.

Wow. That's a lot of money.

Good signing for the Blues though.

EDIT: Nevermind, I thought it was 4.5 per.

$2.25 million? Seems pretty reasonable.

Or were you confused like me and thought the $4.5 million figure was his annual cap hit?

I assume this contract is positioned for him to be an RFA when it's completed? Good deal if that's the case, very interesting.

Same deals EJ and Perron got last year. Prove yourself and get longer contract/more money. Berglund is on his way to becoming a very good player.

Love this deal, I believe he'll still be an RFA once this contract is over, so if he plays like we expect him to, I'm sure he'll get a nice raise and longer term.

Pretty much the range that was expected after seeing the deals that Perron/EJ got last season. Armstrong has stated before that he wants the players to earn the contracts, hence the only 2 year deals that he is handing out. So I would expect the same for Oshie, but less in dollar value.

Would love to have someone like Berglund on the Wings for that caphit.. Instead we're stuck with midget Hudler for more.

Yes, that has been the way we have dealt with RFAs. Considering Perron's concussion and how Johnson's situation went, there is no reason to get tied up long term when you don't have to.

That's kinda low for the points he put up over 3 seasons. Good job, Blues.

$2.1MM in his 1st year, $2.4MM in his 2nd year.

Just right. Great deal for both sides.

If he can perform like he did during the second half of last year (almost a pp game player) then he will be an absolute steal.

He's really coming into his own. Next year could be a huge year.

Good signing.
