To be fair, Daugavins' career has shown steady progress over each of the last three seasons. He certainly had a respectable season in 2009-2010, prior to KK.

I am bullish on him as a prospect for this very reason. Young players who are improving each year tend to keep improving -- and he doesn't need to improve that much more to become a useful NHL 3rd liner.

Plus, he is still pretty young; just turned 23.

Quite possibly, i say it first hand at a regular season Bingo- Charlotte game. Rather then comment on his hands its more his positioning, sometimes he just looks to be in the wrong position
