Hopefully at least one or two of them can become regular NHLers next season, because at least Weber can give you that (and more). Again, Weber is about potential, but the type of potential that can log decent NHL minutes as soon as October '11. Moore and Goloubef could give you that next season (not sure though), but definitely not David Savard.

Correction: Savard is actually closer to the NHL right now than any of the others. Moore could probably play without embarrassing himself. Goloubef has some polishing to do before we'd want him out there, tho - his game is almost entirely "do the little things right" and so further polish is almost mandated.

To his defense, he has 3 goals in 6 playoff games.

To be honest, I'd rather target Filatov. The only NHL ready players we have that are available are Weber. (IMO he's ready for the NHL) and Andrei Kostitsyn.

No for Mtl...nobody interesting at 8th overall. If we are to trade up, it should be in the top 5 to take a guy like Couturier or Landeskog.

I agree there's quite a drop between the 5th and the 8th, but that's the reason why my proposed deal is not entirely off-base. To get a shot at Landeskog or Couturier, you'd have to offer twice (in quality, not quantity) what I initially offered, and I wouldn't like that one bit.

And BTW, Strome, Murphy or even Zibanejad don't fall in the "nobody interesting" category to me...
