I would like to thank all the MOD's on here for doing a wonderful job once again. It has been said before this mock draft is the best one on HFBoards by a mile. Also to my fellow drafters thanks for keeping this going quickly. Like also has been said the 7th round is for longshots so here it goes
The Toronto Maple Leafs select from the Kingston Voyageurs Tier 2 team Goalie Charlie Finn
Charlie moved from Vancouver to Kingston this year and starred with the Voyageurs. He had a 1.98 GAA during the regular season with a .933 SA In the playoffs he had a 2.68 GAA and a .927 SA
We feel we had an excellent draft this year. Our picks were
Scott Mayfield
Boone Jenner
Tomas Jurco
Tobias Rieder
Patrick Koudys
Peter Ceresnak
Justin Sefton
David Broll
Andrew Shaw
Carter Sandlak
Charlie Finn
Not sure how much work other mods put in here, but I did none. Most of the credit belongs to habsfan18.
Ha, okay, if there's a sexual favour for P.W. (pu--y whipped obviously doesn't qualify), I certainly don't know it. Obviously not the same guy I was thinking of, lol.
Tampa Bay selects with their final pick from HPK in Finland winger Heikki Liedes
"He projects as a grinding winger who likes to throw his weight around. An unkown now, someday he will be synonymous with big hits. As in "he knocked the Heikki out of him on that hit Bob!"
I wanted Boone Jenner and Robbie Russo in the first two rounds and had a chance to pick them both but then in the last minute talked myself into JT Miller and John Gibson instead.
Then waited two rounds to try and make up for it and instead of Mike Reilly and Brendan Kichton to get some puck movers on D I went obscure Russian with Yarullin and Nesterov.
So I got two long term projects from Pittsburgh and some Euro trash that will likely never see the NHL.

Terrible, terrible drafting.
I got Strome and Saad with their 1st rounders. Sens fans might be mad.
Thanks guys. What makes the Habs board mock so great though is the dedicated group of posters on here.
I hope everyone would like to participate again next year!
Twas fun. If you will have me next year I will most probably be up for it again , unless something crazy pops up anyway. Thanks again for running a smooth draft

If it makes you feel any better, I would have probably done the same, but I love my big swedish puck moving dmen, so take it for what its worth .
I have to say....pretty interesting drat as far as I was concerned. Not only was I the GM of a team that changed cities in the middle of it....but I also was the GM of a team that changed GM in the end of it....pretty interesting...
Anyway, for the , their last pick of this draft, the 205th pick belong to a guy we can't wait believe lasted that long, forward Yannick Veilleux of the Shawinigan Cataractes.
I'd go as far as to think the ratio rank/quality, we've just made a great pick. Veilleux is big, skates well for a guy his size, use his body wisely, good offensive instincts. If he can work on being more agile, there's still some interesting tools to work with as far as he's concerned.
Next GM was PM'ed.
Detroit 2011 draft picks with GM (Harry I) and Asst.-GM (Whitesnake)
2nd Round: Miikka Salomaki 3rd Round: Maxim Shalunov 4th Round: Marek Tvrdon 5th Round: Eddie Wittchow 6th Round: Steven Fogarty 7th Round: Nikita Zaytsev
I am really happy with the results of the draft and LA would be lucky to end up with a draft like that. IMO several of those guys will go higher than I drafted them in this mock draft, for example I doubt Wittchow lasts until the 5th or Fogarty until the 6th, I would be surprised.
Thanks to habsfan18 for organizing the mock draft, really well done and we did it all in record time I think without many people missing picks .. amazing job.
Draft over for Pittsburgh, overall i like my draft. didnt had a 3rd and 4th round wich suck but was able to get 2 solid prospect with my top2 pick. a hard worker with some underated skill in the 5th round. took 2 darkhorse with my last 2 pick
Well, to speed things up here I'll select for Chicago.
Chicago selects, from the Kamloops Blazers of the WHL, forward Dylan Willick.
*Detroit PMd.
Lol well its a good thing I didnt have a 7th rounder, I would have raged since he was my target. Getting skipped by 2 spots in the 7th round lol, woulda flipped a desk.
