The Chicago Wolves have signed defensemen Dustin Friesen and David Pszenyczny and goaltender Charlie Effinger to two-way AHL-CHL contract (Chicago/Missouri) http://www.oursportscentral.com/serv...es/?id=4297929
I doubt these players end up seeing much time in Chicago. The Wolves just signed an affiliation agreement with the Missouri Mavericks and they probably did those signings to show that they care about their CHL affiliate.

Yah I think you are right because I can't see them needing those guys from just looking over the current roster. I couldn't figure out why they were signed but what you say makes sense.
The Predators also released forwards Joel Champagne and Mark Van Guilder; and defensemen Jeff Foss, Scott Ford and Scott Valentine from Professional or Amateur Tryout Agreements (ATOs/PTOs). All five are signed to AHL contracts by the Admirals and will report to the team's training camp
That's what I thought! It might also be the case for these players :
Kirk McDonald (Invited to Bston's camp)
Matt Tassone (Invited to Dallas' camp)
Kris Fredheim (Invited to Minnesota's camp)
Chris McKelvie (Invited to NYR's camp)
Ryan Hollweg (invited to Phoenix's camp)
Jake Gannon (Invited to St.Louis's camp)
Brayden Irwin (Invited to Toronto's camp)
All these guys were part of the same organisation last year, so it might be a good indication that they are signed. I don't have any confirmation though.
I can scratch off Irwin, Fredheim and Gannon from that list.
With these signing, all AHL teams have signed at least one player
Kirk McDonald and Kevin Miller are part of Providence's training camp roster but aren't list as invitees. I'll assume that they are under contract with Providence
