Probably because he signed a ECHL contract before signing with a AHL team. I would bet that his ECHL rights already belonged to Wheeling when he signed with St. John's.

What's up with Michael Kirkpatrick. He signed a 2 years contract with St.John's but he is currently playing with St.FX University in the CIS. Was he released from his contract or can he still come back to the Ice Caps if there is room for him?

Whats the deal with Jamie Fritsch? They have him as a PTO via Bridgeport on the 19th. Last night he wasn't on the roster between Adirondack and Bridgeport or Bridgeport's game the night before. And he's not on any of the league sites that are updated properly. The Bridgeport Banner is usually on point with this stuff but i have nothing with his name on it but the PTO.

-Triston Grant updated his PTO to an SPC
-Abbotsford signed Daniel Taylor. Taylor was released from his PTO with Springfield this week.
-Garth Murray upgraded his PTO to an SPC with St John's
-Syracuse signed John Kurtz. Kurtz is coming back from an injury
-Houston signed Mike McKenzie ... Which doesn't make sense since he was signed by Charlotte earlier this year. I bet that his rights were traded from Charlotte to Houston.
