I did.

I also wouldn't mind Glen Murray back.

Other: Mike Nylander. He is cheap at 3 million/year and he's a capable #1 center, which the Kings desperately need.

I picked Nedved, but really I'd rather just keep the money.

BTW, I picked Palffy...Demitra would be number 2. I don't know if their is space or not, but Kovalev, Zhamnov, Lindros, and Selanne at the very least deserve a mention.

Mathieu Schneider.... Think about what this coach asks from his defensemen and tell me we have the offensive talent on the blueline to do that right now...

Since we traded Matty, we've suffered as a team offensively. I believe with Schneider, we would have made the playoffs last year, especially when you consider the type of season he had.

The other choices are good, but Matty would have the greatest impact.

Yeah, i was debating whether or not to put some of those guys, but I thought it would be best to put the ones i have heard may get picked up by the kings (rumors, speculations, etc.).

It's not a general informational thread. If we sticky this one, a dozen other people are going to want to sticky every thread. Anyways, there wasn't even anyone posting in this thread anymore.

3 million is cheap? For Nylander? That's called overpaid. And he's not a #1 center.

Watch Lubo this year. He is going to light it up!

Dempsey should put up regular points as well as Corvo this season. Miller and Matty should get 1 a piece.

Signing Schneider to a long term deal like he is looking for would be a mistake with Gleason, Grebs, and Zizka all in the system waiting for a chance to play. If we hadnt signed Miller to a 4 year deal I would be all over Schneider though,.

Agreed. If DT were to sign Schneider, I'd look at it as a prelude to a trade.

Andy Murray can't have enough Offensive depth back there. Schneider would still be my guy. Visnovsky is good, but he's smallish and he misses plenty of games per year.

Kings won't sign Matty because of their $$$$ commitments back there and the kids they have, but they'll never be as good as they were back on the blue line 2 years ago again either... It's a shame.

Alexei Kovalev would be nice if we lost Palffy ..

Frolov - Conroy - Kovalev (that's a good 1st line)
Robitialle - Armstrong - Klatt (line was solid)
Brown - Straka - Cammalleri (all these guys have 20 goal potential)
Avery - Belanger - Cowan (if brown don't find scoring touch this season put him here instead of cowan)

4 lines which are interchangeble for the most part.

depth: Kostopittsburgh guy (he's good) , Barney , Flinn , Clarke , Hogeboom , Kanko , James , Steckel , Lehoux maybe if he has a breakout year in the ahl.

I forgot where I read it (maybe it was the MTL or PIT message boards), but I believe Kovalev has signed with the Pens, but they are still working out the details...

I was thinking the same thing...as long as Murray can keep him motivated. He's probably the closest thing to a Palffy replacement we could find on the UFA market.

At this point, that report is no more reliable than any other rumour we've heard, IMO. While the Penguins might be trying to sign him, I have serious doubts as to whether or not he will end up there. He can command a helluva a lot better on the market than what they are presumably offering.
