I think the FAN is just doing an out with the old in with the new thing, trying to mimick TSN radio, getting their TV guys on the Radio as well.

Hope they have some direction because right now they're in shambles.
I had the honor of being taught by Roger and he was one of the best teachers we had because he tells it like it is. Very straightforward, honest and despite being a hard ass, quite caring. Plus he's extremely insightful when it comes to sports, he knows a lot of ****.

Dude has like 30 jobs though, he's down to 29 now. Sportsnet is run by a bunch of monkeys anyway.

I wonder how Barb Degiulio and Eric Smith feel about now? About the only 2 regulars that are still there.

Lejolie is still on their website, so we wait. As long as they have Bobcat, this station will still be around the way I see it, he's the only thing that matters over there.

Thank god.

I don't know why reporters keep their jobs after years of terrible work. It's time for new people now.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Lajoie a freelancer?

that won't happen. Whoever that is new that comes in will be just as critical. There is a lot of politics involved in this business. I've been graduated for a year now, and I'm still looking for work because it's run by perverts and morons.

No sir, he is not. He was a paid employee by them. He's good at what he does though, so he'll probably have no problem landing a job.

I thought he might have been, because he incorporated himself as a freelance service.

I know he does freelance work for Reuters and Toronto Sun.

He does a lot of freelance work. RogersTV, Reuters, Oshawa Generals, Toronto SUN, St. Mike's Majors are some of the people he freelances for. Like I said, he has literally 30 jobs, the guy doesn't rest. He's always traveling somewhere or doing something and when he's not out in the field, he's teaching at the College I went to.

There's a saying we have in freelance: "If you're lazy, you're ****ed."

Yeah pretty much. It's such a tough business, it really is.

I'll always remember the first thing he said to our class when we sat down:

Who the **** are you?

The guy was an epic troll who simply existed to bait Leaf fans with a sanctimonious air of "objectivity". Guess that couldn't wash forever, eh Howard?

Lajoie is in the same boat as far as I'm concerned. he's had to tone it down only because the sens suck now and he'd look like a fool, but there were plenty of snide Leaf remarks from him as well in the past. Maybe his hero Melnyk will give him a job where he can wear his sens jersey to work in peace...

Good friend Melnyk, actually. He's from Montreal, so really he likes them the most.

Hold up on the Roger front, I just spoke with him, here's what he said:

not referring to The Fan - I'm still there filling in and on weekends. The Tweet is regarding my ending the work with the Memorial Cup have spent 13 months on the planning committee at the expense of lots of other stuff and now it's back to reality really. Also it was a heartbreaking loss not once but twice for the Majors so that was my reference.

Ah ok. with the sens sucking he was less annoying so I don't mind him still being on there.

Fan realizes they don't need the leader of pessimist nation as the team keeps building. Guess he's now the lost little lamb looking for a shepard.
